I have recently collected some viable pollen from good strain and wish to pollinate only a couple of branches on my girls i was going to put 1/4 teaspoon of pollen in a couple of paper bags select some branches bag em and shake em leave overnite and carefully remove them hoping to only pollinate said branches. Will this effect overall yield of plant? 30 days at least for viable seeds? I realise some residual pollinating might occur i have clones ready to go but wish to have some seed as i will be using different strain next run and really want to keep this strain going with "fresh seed" any opinions or experience appreciated cheers TD

Hey crew So I got some sweet life cycle assessment software for uni and instead of studying for my LCA exam I used the software to do a crude LCA of the environmental impacts of growing indoors. The result was quite shocking The LCA was based on the following: 400 Watts of HID lighting 100 Watts of peripherals (centrifugal fan, PC fan for air circulation, air pump and water pump) 18/6 for 4 weeks 12/12 for 8 weeks Standard electricity (ie no green power or solar PV) 13 ounce yield. The outcome of it was, that to produce 13 ounces would generate approximately 725 kilograms of CO2 equivalent, or 56kg per ounce That is a huge amount considering that it does no…

I have a strange one! I put some seeds in rockwool and sprouted them. After about 4 days in the dark, I took them out and potted them in coconut fibre. then put them outside. After about 7 days, everything seemed to be going great. Bit of growth and things looked good. Today - it was a fairly nice 24 degree day with sun, and when I came home, they were all drooping over on their side and have seemingly died. The bottom part of the small stem seems ok, but the top feels weak and a starting to shrivel up a bit. I thought that maybe I over watered them a little, but I haven't watered them in two days! I have no idea what gone wrong! Any ideas?

I was getting some stuff from Bunnings today and I wasn't able to locate any water pumps (except ones for ponds) and I didn't see any clay balls or rockwool. Do I need to go elsewhere to find these things?

So I've been planning a small cupboard hydro setup and was checking out plastic tubs at the local hardware store for the reservoir and satelites. I'm looking at big rectangular black plastic tubs. Embossed on the bottom it said, "NOT FOR FOOD". So I was wondering if this is somehow unsafe? Also, on a hydro site where they are selling pots they say, "Beware recycled plastic pots that are cheap and can really damage your pH and nutrients, as well as introduce other toxins like lead, arsenic and other compounds into your nutrient. We sell plastic that is safe for Hydroponics." So, are these tubs at the hardware store ok to use? Or should I be looking for something s…

Any one know if you can grow male and female in the same outdoor shade house. Can you trim the male to just a few branches and place a bag over those few branches to protect the females from pollination.? The bags are fruit protection bags, like a very fine mesh so they can still breath. Im sick of buying shit seeds and huge prices. Thanks

Hi Folks, I have two out of four germinated, they are about 4 days old with only one day under a 80w philips 6500k cfl. I've noticed a slight discolouration on the leaves. I'm only using tap water, was concerned with nutes burn. Am I doing the normal noob thing and over worrying about my plants. Should I move the plants up closer to lights; I have them in a 18 hours light cycle. I only water when the jiffy block feels dry. I was planing on water for 1 week then 1/4 strength nutes.
