Hey im wanting to start my first grow but im a little nervous about going to the local hydro shop, im 18 however i look like im 12 and this usualy leads to many id checks and dodgy looks. Id like to know the do's and dont's what I can say and what I cant, and what's the best cover story that's going suit the type of equipment im buying + has anyone had a problems with going to hydro stores? Hi, Was in Bunnings the other day and noticed an isle full of various sized fittings and piping/misters etc for irrigation systems. But it said these were only for main pressure ones? Can these be used for hydroponic systems / DWC buckets? If not where does one go to get their own fittings and piping from? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated...... thanks.

.. Hey all, Not sure if this is an hermaphrodite or not? It's a Super Silver Haze x and they were flipped about a week and a half ago.. It only started showing these signs this morning.. I've pulled it out of the tent cos i don't want to take any chances of contaminating the other plants growing until i'm sure.. I've always kept an eye on this one. always thought it would be a male, not a tranny Really would appreciate expert advise Cheers

I bought some epsom salt yesterday and i want to use it in my dwc but not sure how much to use with 4 litres of water/nutes.And should i use it every water change or every second or what?

My seeds from demonseeds have not germinated - any advice on another source? Very disappointed....

In the use of potion made with rubbing alcohol and shade leafs I found it to be a great green color dye for the wash cloth I used to apply it. The stuff has not faded in a couple of washings,Brite green color.going to tie dye some shirts with it should be pretty cool going to try to tie a pot leaf on them with pot dye wow I may be onto something.

Hey guys 'n gals, What is a good way to reduce the PH of the solution in your reservoir? I have been adding vinegar (~ 1/4 tea spoon per 2 litres) but this seems to dissipate rather quickly (2 - 3 days) maybe the plastic is absorbing it...? I've read that citric acid does the job, but i've only been able to find it in powder form for baking; do you think this will harm my plants? Or should i just purchase a ph stabilizer from a hydro shop? cheers

Hey guys 'n gals Bit of back story... I was given ~200 seeds by a mate back in early 2010 i acquired another 50 or so random seeds from other mates. I've been using over the past year, i've kept them in a cupboard in zip lock back with a gel bag. So last weekend I ran the seeds over some fine sand paper to scratch the husk and dropped them into a glass of water for about ~15 hours Then planted them into some jiffy pellets, placed the pellets into a grow tray placed about 5mm high water in the tray, placed the tray on a heat mat. Now i did have the humidity cover on for a day or two, but it's been off for a good 4 days now. So it's been 7 days since I've planted …

Hi all, I have some auto flower seeds coming and was wondering if anyone could help me with advice . Like when is the best time to plant for outdoor grow and so on? I am only new to growing so any advice would be great. And will post photos when done. Cheers

Hi all I hav a small scale box 780w 820h 60d and j am thinking of whacking a 400/600 watt aircooled reflector hps for flower and I want to use a PVC nft system and If anyone has any experience with this like plant size or yield would b great thanks
