General Cultivation Q&A

so i just learnt about the moon phases and all that and it got me hooked and was just wondering if there is any good book around that any one can recomend?

I read in another thread Radic mention "wild crafted". If you don't mind Radic could you please tell me the difference between W C and Bio. I grow outdoors usually under trees, that probably shade my plants to much however I'm happy with the results. I know some things Bio but am really curious regarding Wild Crafted. Hoping to hear from you. Scro.

hey guys just wondering would this work if i sucked air through carbon filter then through 400watt cooltube then 600watt cooltube then to extraction fan (6 inch inline centrifungal) or would i loose to much suction? maybe better off having a seperat fan for cooltubes?

Aright I'm just about to start my grow got seeds hole system is setup completely i just need some things cleared up before i start 1: what temp should the water be in the res 2: how high should i have my 400 hps off the rockwool when the seeds have just been put in and how far above the plant should it stay 3: i have CANNA veg A and veg B nutes so would i start using them right away or wait till the seeds have sprouted 4: what ppm should i try keep the water at through out the grow thanks in advance

ok guys this might seem like a stupid question just say i have 5 20liter buckets 4 for growing one for control say i fill all them with 18 liters of water thats 95 liters of water i would have to mix nutes up in witch would be more expensive than say growing in clay balls with a resuculating system with a 40 liter res would it be worth it or is that way to much water in the dwc buckets.....hope that makes sense

If I were to save my seeds and continue to grow plants generation after generation from the same seed stock. What will be the effect on each generation of plants ? Will they get better or decline in quality ? Should I cross my females with a different male ? I am really happy with the seeds I have. How do I maximise their potential ?

I 've checked out Cannaversity and cannot find application rates for Molasses. In the forums of late Scunxxx has advised that he applies one tablespoon/five gallons to his organic hydro grows. someone pointed out Scunxx is american so his ratio equates to 15mils/20litres. this is the rate I have applied to my outdoor soil grow with seemingly excellent results. however I foliar sprayed twice with kelp a week before using molasses at this rate so I can't say exactly that the benefits I observed are entirely due to molasses. contributors to the organic growing forum at www thctalk.com state they use molasses at 5mils/litre every second watering!!! this seems excess…

Has anyone attempted on this forum, (screen of green) I quickly read up on it now, and you use chicken wiring to hold the base down blah blah i dont know what the terms are and shit. Anyway, looking for feedback

Hey Crew, So i decided to be a little more active on here , to give you an update, I am into week 1 of flower my babies , all six are 100% healthy after some near misses with draining problems, and roots exposed through the mesh into the nutrient retention . Anyways this grow is coming along well and I will be posting some images up shortly to show the room build etc, very very happy with the outcome, we have them just under 5 feet now, hoping to hit 6 61/2 feet by completion . So this brings me onto my next build, how do I make the sea of green model work with 8 to 10 plants, what are the key differences?Id like to be able to grow bigger trees and yield more, is it …

medium-perlite in 15litre homemade dwc,4 litre nute solution and two plants.In smallish growbox with mylar. Lights-cfl`s luman output around 12,000 also supplimenting few hours a day with 250w hps altogether about 26,000 lumans. Fans-120mm intake and two 120mm exhausts. Temps-inbetween 26 and 30 degrees celsius. humidity- about 26. water temp-inbetween 22 and 26. Nutes-using proganics grow and root benificial bacteria. lights on/off-20/4. ph-inbetween 5.5 and 6.5.
