i noticed considerable stretch in a strain and was advised by a local hydro shop to chuck out the mother and to start using the very top to clone for the next generation. this dude was telling me he has brought back strains that were thought to have drifted genetically after 4 or 5 generations of top cloning. i never believed in the genetic drift theory. after reading on here i was worried the tops would be harder to clone, and most people clone from the older more woody parts. i thought i would have a crack at it i have had 100% success so far and nodes much closer in the plants. it seems to be working anyone had similar experiences ?

i found a seed in my grow, first seed it has produced for me. i did leave them longer than normal and suspect i have kicked the plant into survival mode to produce a male flower. i never saw the male flower, just found the seed later, well after the grow. the question is: if i planted this seed would it produce a female or a hermie ? does this depend on if it fertilized another plant or itself ? this has probably been answered and im sure the info is there if i read enough

Hey all Decided to try potash this time as others keep raving about it. Normally I just use PK 13-14 at week 4 or 5 for a week or so. Do I still add the PK 13-14 if I am using the potash regularly? Thanks to all

Hey im just curious cause ive never reached the flowering stage before. Im not sure of what ferts to use and when. My plant just started giving pre flowering signs and since shes a winter grow shes going to go straight into flowering. Point being my mate told me after the pistils become more I should start dosing it was with seasol sea weed fert which is high in potassium. Iv'e got guano bat shit which i shall use for phosphorus. Is this all I need. Basically he said to slowly increase the sea weed fert and put some bat shit in the pot and slowly decrease my nitrogen fert. Cheers Syco

Well I would love some input on this project I want to tackle. I want to setup a micro DWC system with a res. Here is a pic of what I have at the moment. As you can see I will have plants in the side circular tupperware containers, and the middle one will be the res. First of all I want to make a list of the parts I think I will need need for this setup. - 1 x Airpump(for res) - 1 x Rectangular air stone (for res) - Some tubing - 2x Netpots - Hydroton - Rockwool - Roll of reflective tape Now this is what I'm thinking of doing according to the research I have done. over the years i have heard many ways of how to turn back plants but the 2 that have come up the most is flush out the grow nute for 2 days and then have 48hrs of complete darkness then start your 12 on 12 off.the other is flush the last 2 days of grow then with your flower nutes add in the wemons pill i dont know how many pills go into every 100ltrs but i have heard the hormons from the pill help the plant heaps so if you know if there is any truth to these please let me know or if you have a better method i would love to hear it.pls reply

I read in another thread Radic mention "wild crafted". If you don't mind Radic could you please tell me the difference between W C and Bio. I grow outdoors usually under trees, that probably shade my plants to much however I'm happy with the results. I know some things Bio but am really curious regarding Wild Crafted. hey guys just wondering would this work if i sucked air through carbon filter then through 400watt cooltube then 600watt cooltube then to extraction fan (6 inch inline centrifungal) or would i loose to much suction? maybe better off having a seperat fan for cooltubes?

Aright I'm just about to start my grow got seeds hole system is setup completely i just need some things cleared up before i start 1: what temp should the water be in the res 2: how high should i have my 400 hps off the rockwool when the seeds have just been put in and how far above the plant should it stay 3: i have CANNA veg A and veg B nutes so would i start using them right away or wait till the seeds have sprouted 4: what ppm should i try keep the water at through out the grow thanks in advance

ok guys this might seem like a stupid question just say i have 5 20liter buckets 4 for growing one for control say i fill all them with 18 liters of water thats 95 liters of water i would have to mix nutes up in witch would be more expensive than say growing in clay balls with a resuculating system with a 40 liter res would it be worth it or is that way to much water in the dwc buckets.....hope that makes sense

If I were to save my seeds and continue to grow plants generation after generation from the same seed stock. What will be the effect on each generation of plants ? Will they get better or decline in quality ? Should I cross my females with a different male ? I am really happy with the seeds I have. How do I maximise their potential ?
