First week 12-1 going ok

Nearly every plant will grow if you give it adequate light..... so the plant can photosynthesize and catalyse ATP energy production ..... so yeah it works, but you may find it difficult growing with that light cycle compared with the avg 18/6 or so ...

12-1 lighting method is designed to keep plants in veg without using as much power by breaking the 12 hour darkness cycle required for flowering. Its good if power usage is an issue, but if not your plants will veg quicker on 18-6.

Mate it works a treat, just check any of my grows their all 12-1 & 11-13 for flower. You will find the people who disagree with this method have never tried it

Yeah it can.

Just an update on my grow on 12 - 1 lighting it's working a fucking treat would recommend it to anyone, I can't see any difference to using 18 - 6 at the moment and saving on power And put a few bucks back in my pocket

I'm sceptical, no way 12-1 Vegs at the same rate as 18-6... I'm running 24 hours and I'm starting to wonder if its actually slowing things down...

Keep us updated on this please, think it has something to do with tricking the plants. I'm no expert and am going to do some research on it.Many years ago I used to drive past a commercial flower farm in Victoria, and around every Valentines Day & Mothers Day they would have all these lights set up, couldn't tell you how long they were on and off for, but obviously had to do with having the flowers ready on time

Give it a go, a couple of weeks at 12-1 should convince you.

Will try 12-1 when I've arranged another area. Don't want to stress my babies and if I have two areas I can do a fair comparison grow off.

Is there a good ratio for when the plant is flowering? I'm just about to start my first grow in a 800x640x350 and this could help keep cost down!

Do you believe that you are getting similar growth to 18 / 6 or 16 / 8   ?
