its a long process and u wont see much activity

wat size are they?

howlong have they been out there?

are u maintaining a forced flowering photoperiod of 12/12?

Planted the seeds on First of August in a hot house, now planted out in the bush, none of them are more than 18 inches tall, but just recently started to bud.....are you saying they will stop budding yet continue to grow larger and stronger? Will the buds develop any further? should I just leave the buds as is? do I have to be concerned about insects or anything else that may infect the buds? last year they got infested with what appeared to be really tiny black ants.

Basically, you're saying plant in Sept and harvest in May...so in Qld, can you only get 1 grow per year? Currently, we're getting stacks of rain and sky is very overcast...is that why they've started to bud?

No the reason they started to bud is cause you planted them when the days were still short, so it vegged a little then started to bud,,

 

like bill said your plant will more than likley reveg meaning it will start to grow again As the days get longer.

 

You really need to plant when your days are rising above 12hrs and let them veg all through summer.

 

plant on fathers day harvest on mothers day...good general rule of thumb.

many year ago i kept a plant that went back into veg and in the end i would have been much better of to have started again from scratch

yup.

ohhh fark, but they look so healthy and dynamic....the stalks are getting thicker than my little finger, and the leaves look so green and large and healthy and the heads look so white and lacy...couldn't bear to 'off them!!

Pure serendipidy. (blind luck) First timer, planted on fathers day. Now just have to find out how to keep the little buggars alive!

reveging a plant can take a long time

especially outdoors in natural light

may be better to kick off with some new seeds

Hello Kerry, i've had hydro seeds go to bud and completely finish right next to some generation outdoor plants growing veg no buds, and this was in the summer months, i checked day length only a few weeks ago and it was still 12/12 so i held off planting till now, i live in brisbane and have put the seed down around xmas and if your a bit of a greenthumb you can get the plants plenty big enough for a may harvest, this is not the only season in south east qld, you can also winter crop (smaller plants) sprout seeds feb - harvest around june. hope this helps...

Thanks ayepeacee, I always thought we should be able to get two grows in a year....this rain we're currently having is shocking....haven't been out to see the girls for a few days...don't know what they're going to make of all of this moisture....

hey i live and grow on the goldcoast, i have had a few grows in the past, am in the same situation with 2 femails about 2 ft started budding when the rain did xcept mine arnt going to reveg the buds are just getting bigger and denser. wanted them bigger but about to plant a gorilla grow so well see how the go. what medium, neuts etc you using

grew from seed, and then planted out in pots in my own compost creation....and now planted in the bush, in predug holes again filled with my own compost. How can u tell when a plant ins't going to reveg? On the plants that budded, like yours, the buds are just getting bigger and denser....trying to decide when to cut off and dry....any ideas? the plants that haven't budded are now really growing massive and still not showing any sex....but I did have some obvious males a few weeks ago, which were ripped out. Is that typical of the veg stage? ie they grow massively but no hint of male or female? at least none I can see anyway.

please tell me a little about neuts, as have heard the term, but really don't know what that means....like I said, I'm just a beginner...
