It could be to do with the root damage iv caused, but iv noticed no height growth when using all LED, yet when the plants where under CFL i could see the growth overnight... So iv had to be creative...again and find a way to hang the light socket firmly, as the straps offered with the tent just swing about and the light doesnt point downwards.... So using the straps iv used a photography post diagnally and cable tied the light socket. The socket is a photography lamp, which is just a normal light socket, with a 6 light Adapter, i have one 55w light in the centre, and the surrounding globes are 125W each, i picked them up of ebay for aprox $13 each. On the sides i just have two arlec spotlights from bunnings ($13) and swapped the globes for 65 W each, i have another two for the other corners but dont think ill need them untill the plants are bigger.

the two large containers are upside down to get the plants closer to the light, and upside down, along with the extra large tray i found in the garage, it prevents any leakage... looks weired i know, but who give a sh*t lol.

As suggested by forum members clay pebbles only isnt a good medium for 1st time grower. lots of error can be made with nutrients without having a buffer for the roots, also i learnt first hand today those clay balls sure can hold heat. I put canna coco on the top layer and added alot of water to get the canna coco to travel down the pot, by days end of the plants been in the sun, the canna coco medium was nice and cool, but the pebbles under it were still very warm, so i gently tipped the pots on the side, emptied them, lined them with fabric screen material, added stones at the bottom, then a 50/50 canna coco/pebbles mix. While the roots were exposed i sprayed some of the cloning solution (not the gel, just the clone feed which is supposed to help establish root systems) then dipped the roots in the canna coco before re-planting.

cool

id recomend getting those cfls in close to the plants

the further away the softer the light

the more the plants will search for it and stretch

indoors the goal is a compact plant as suplemental light only penetrates so far

all the best
