  1. Some argue if this bill is a step forward or back but I think most mj advocates feel that despite the negatives this is a move in the right direction. The 220 odd misdemeanour's that were dropped in Pierce and King county were a positive from the bill, that's a given but I think there is a issue with the media being unusually quiet on the negative aspects, especially the D.U.I.D provision. One definite is that the public is not being informed that the marijuana legalization could be a state power grab in sheep's clothing. I hope that the talks to make the new laws more user friendly are something that will actually happen and not just idealism. The tax rate is just ridiculous, the powers that be certainly know how to milk every last drop out of the move. I read someone say that Al Capone would be jealous of this model for "legalization" because he was limited to shooting some of his competitors. While the govt will just throw all their competitors in prison. Jimbo btw - the place looks great.
  2. I have had Type 1 (juvenile onset) diabetes for 32yrs. I have been a MJ smoker for 20yrs. It has caused me no adverse control issues, and unlike drinking alcohol it doesn't cause my blood sugars to rise or fall. When a person with diabetes ingests alcohol without food - it lowers the BGL's and can cause hypoglycemic attacks. When they consume alcohol with food it raises the BGL's much higher than the food would alone - aka hyperglycemia. When you are starting out smoking MJ it can be easy to mistake the symptoms of a hypo for the the feeling you get from being high. It's simple to take regular blood glucose readings and monitor yourself until you have some experience. Just like smoking cigarettes, smoking MJ will have repercussions in relation to your circulation which is a big thing to diabetics. I know the facts but I choose to ignore them - I have smoked 40 a day since I was 16 so I'm pretty sure that I have done a lot of damage. This is just my personal experience, so you should really experiment for yourself. Everyone's body is different and everybody reacts to things differently so what's good for the goose isn't always going to be good for the gander. Jimbo
  3. Hmmm.....not too sure about your last question so I'll leave that to someone more technically minded. I've always found Westaflex equipment to be really good so I recommend them. The CF should help quieten it down as well, Using a fan controller is a waste of time in my experience but others might disagree? I prefer to get as much out of the fan as is possible, if you're going to be running it at half strength, then go a smaller fan. If it is a bit too noisy then I just leave a radio on - that disguises it easily and doesn't raise eyebrows. Jimbo
  4. Baby pics please mate......the uncle from the bush wants to see his new nieces! Jimbo
  5. Hmmm, there's no real way to tell but I don't think that they'll hermie on you. More likely if the daylight hours are too long they will revert to vege over the course of a week or two. If LEO has turned up looking for evidence of you growing then it is highly likely they will do the same for your new address imo. I'd be removing all evidence fast, Better safe than sorry, Jimbo
  6. Well thank fuck we are finally getting rid of you. Off ya go - bugger off! hahaha - only kiddin' shrooms, we all need to spread our wings and have some adventure sometimes. If you go I hope you have a great life over there. Of course you can pop in and stay for a while - be glad to have you, bring LOTS of hard drugs please. We're glad you liked the brownies - that was the best tasting batch we have ever made, of course the missus did it.... Try eating three and go visit a museum - good value. Good luck on the grow, Jimbo
  7. Just place your hand at the height of the top of the plants - if your hand is too hot then the plants are too hot... Jimbo
  8. Brownies are definitely the best way to enjoy canna butter imo - my wife and I have just finished off a batch of Snickers brownies that had OMS in them and they were terrific! Great recipe - keep them coming. Jimbo
  9. all those suggestions of solar powered pumps and tarps sound a bit too much like hard work for me.... buy yourself a goddamn car shrooms! Jimbo
  10. Skunk No1 is a perfect strain for the beginner or the seasoned pro, great stone and easy to grow with a fast finish time. Making your own seeds is piss easy. You simply collect pollen from the male flowers when they have just burst on a sheet of paper and put it in some clippy bags. Divide the pollen up into several bags to minimize the risk of getting moisture in your one and only bag of pollen and losing it. Then when the females are well and truly flowering after a couple of weeks you dust the stigmas with the pollen using a paint brush. If you did it right then you will have a bumper crop of seeds when they finish flowering. Indoors it's pretty easy to collect the male pollen as you can shut the fans off, outside it can be a bit trickier with the wind etc Jimbo
  11. The whirlybirds are the way to go for venting the roof cavity - they don't cost much and everyone uses them so they are not conspicuous. Jimbo
  12. Go with a westaflex - they can't be beat. Jimbo
  13. I have always found indicas to be the best for pain relief but only you will be able to decide what works best for you after you sample different strains you have grown and tried. For strong pain relief I would recommend ingesting the cannabis, either in a cooked form like butter or in measured doses of oil in capsules. It is very easy to over-indulge and have too much so experiment carefully until you have worked out how much you need for your pain. The strongest indica I have tried is White Russian from Serious Seeds, but I have also got a lot of relief from the other strains I have tried. Personally I have found the strains I have tried from Canadian seedbanks to be rather low quality - but that is just my humble opinion, and I am sure that there are plenty of growers out there that have high praises for them. Do you think it would be possible to open up a conversation about growing for personal use with your boss? Maybe flirt around the subject and sorta gauge his reaction? Then you might have an idea whether you should risk him discovering your small grow. Don't tell him that you are growing even if he is cool because that's just leaving you wide open to being dobbed in if you ever fall out with him. I too am currently in a situation where my landlord drops in randomly and just invites himself in so growing is totally out of the question and it is really hard because I love my growing my herb. I hope you find the relief you need, and feel free to ask any questions on this forum - there will always be someone with advice here. Jimbo
