  1. Quite possibly. Its very odd. Shittin me to tears now and the plants are doing the weird REVEG thing. The specific strain i have is tempermental and i cant always wait around to switch the breaker back on. Royal pain in the ass. Im not going to try it. But is it easy to swap a breaker over without the need of electrician to come? I cant even fathom what ill have to pack up if he has to come out to swap a breaker ... bah
  2. So 24hrs has gone by... and its tripped again. So ive worked out it isnt the 6 outlet powerbox. Its not the extension leads. I dont understand how something can run for 24hrs (last time I checked) walk away for 3hrs then trip. If it was a power overload wouldnt it have tripped long ago? Sometimes when i switch the breaker back on it will trip instantly. Sometimes it will give me 2 hours. Or in this now case 24hrs. What gives and what is happening? It couldnt be a power overload theres not enough power. Ive swapped over the grow pump pin timer from bunnings. The only thing else is the two fans. One 12" and a 10". I could get an extension lead and isolate the two fans on a seperate circuit to see if it trips it or not. The only thing after checking the fans would be the water pump itself.... Or could a globe do this? And guys when you have 1 plant in a 100 litre tub of claypebbles over 3m x 2.4m scrogged out for 4 months you need 3 600s. Dont worry about that. I even consider that space very underpowered. I like around 110w per sqf. Mo watts. Mo better. It works for me. I like to experiment and beat personal challenges. My best has been 2 coco trees in 5 gal fully rootbound which coco thrives. fed 8times a day for 30 seconds with 6 x 600s.. the numbers would suprise you. But thats a different day and different thread. Smoky.
  3. Well it seems that these type of digital ballasts do not like extension cords. Been running a while now and no trips. I think I found the problem. Its a shame that i have to run them inside my tent with 1 plant.. There is no room in there as it is. Hmmm
  4. Gday merlin thanks for your reply. I understand that and the one that blows is the MCD (BLACK TOGGLE). ON THE LEFT CIRCUIT breaker. So here is where it gets very weird. I didnt have time to stuff around today so i took out what I thought was the two ballasts. Thought I will play with them later. So i left the other two ballasts running connected to the 6 outlet timer box... walk in the shed this afternoon and the BLOODY POWER HAS TRIPPED. A total of 1200watts plus two exhaust and intake fans. Over two seperate powerpoints is no more than 1380watts. On a 15amp circuit. I dont think im overloading??? I had these two ballasts plugged and working fine for 2 weeks and no trips of the circuit!!? So what the hell has caused it to trip again today? Sooo what I did was just then remove my 6 outlet ballast timer. And it still tripped. So now we know that it isnt the timer. I now have 4 ballasts running for over an hour. The only thing i did different was remove the extension cords. (And yes i tried spare extension cords and it still tripped). So far so good.... I thought it was weird that one of the ballasts wont spark a globe with the extension cord connected. Very bizarre. Well now its just straight to the adjustawing plug and fired up. Very weird. So it seems (fingers crossed) that these type of ballasts do not like extension cords plugged into them. They are the NANOLUX og series 600. They are black. And i was using 10amp 4metre ballast extension cords in white. Fingers crossed. Smoky. Thx guys for the help its been appreciated...
  5. Here is my breakerbox. Can someone tell me why there is two switches on each breaker? Never seen that before. Its the black button that keeps tripping. And i do indeed have 16 amps right?
  6. Okay heres the update. So i have a total of four ballasts. Two ballasts i have are complelty fine running off my timerbox. As soon as a third one is added (sometimes) thr power will trip. I decided to run the third ballast (not plugged into the timerbox) on a spare powerpoint which is on the same 16 amp circuit and it triggered the breaker which concludes my growlush timerbox is not the issue. Now.... there is like, 6 double powerpoints on this single 16amp circuit. On a 16amp circuit I can have a total of 3600 watts (as far as google tells me). I am not even NEAR 3600 watts.... 1 x pump is 15 watts 8 inch intake hyperfan is 75 watt 10inch exhaust hyperfan is 120 watt. Three ballasts is 1200watts. I am not even near maximum capacity. Im starting to think I have two dodgy and faulty brand new ballasts. Not happy. I should of stuck with my old magnetics for piece of mind. I also mention one particular ballast doesnt like a ballast extension cord on it. It will not power up the globe. As soon as its removed, the globe will power up. Go figure? The brand is NANOLUX OG SERIES 600w Im now going to try removing my two working fine ballasts and plug in the two (what i think faulty) ballasts in and see if it trips. If it trips, its the two ballasts themselves.
  7. Well its a 15amp circuit. The 6 outlet timerbox I have has two powercords coming off it. One cord into one PowerPoint and the other cord into another. Then i have 3 ballasts plugged into the timerbox. And its tripping it. And ive tried a new ballast too. So 2 ballasts are faulty?? Possibly
  8. Okay guys so heres the situation. I have 12 double powerpoints in my shed. Its a big workshop. I have 2 x 15amp circuits on fusebox for power. My tent is situated in the back part of my shed. Theres like 4 double powerpoints down there. So... I have a 6 outlet growlush 600w box timer with two cords comin off it. I plugged one powercord into one powersocket. And the other cord into other socket. Okay ? So.... I ran 3 x 600 ballasts from the growlush timerbox last night for the tent and that was fine. I come in this morning and unplug 1 ballast only leaving two running in the tent. Adelaide was stinkin bloody hot today. I decided to plug the third ballast back in this arvo when the weathere cooled down and it tripped one of my 15amp circuits. Its done it twice now. And ive also swapped ballasts too.... so its not that. So it seems my power is overloading? Ive only got an intake and outtake hyperfans running... so why is my power been tripped with a 15amp circuit with 3x600 ballasts powered? I must also mention 1 of the ballasts wont power up with an ballast extension cord on it either. But it will power up a globe no problem without the extension cord on it. Very odd. This is the nanolux digi brand of ballast. 3 x 600w. 2 fans. 1 pump on a 15amp circuit is tripping my power. So why didint it trip for a full 12hrs running the night before? And then it trips 15 mins after i plug the third ballast in. ?? Im stumpt. I should be able to run everything shouldnt i? Are you confused yet? I am. Smoky. I
  9. Back in the day old mate had real old kelvinator. We picked it up from the tip and gutted the fuckin thing. Thats how it was set up. Two 6s. Around 300cfm give or take. And a single 4inch 80-130cfm blowing onto the bare bulb on the good old bare bulbed adustawing Powerboard mounted on the back... and the good ol elec ballast mounted on the back too. Lined the whole bloody fridge with reflective freezer stuff you insulting shit you get from bunnings. Its diamond reflective and awesome thickness. You wouldnt notice a bloody thing. Im telling ya boys. All the sealing around the gaps of the fridge were full on lightlockout. This one was a single door. But had the single freezer compartment at the bottom. Res was in there with a tiny pump and two spaghetti lines into each square pot filled with canna clay pebbles. The strain was from the white family but god damn the thing would yield like sombitch with the 600 in there. 650 gram runs with three weeks veg with lots of tipping were definatley not uncommon and with a 42 day flower strain. Im tellin ya. No bullshit. In an area that big was easily 100watts per its size. More watts. More lumens. More betta. And the best part his missus thiught it was stocked up with dog food for the three dogs. He would organide his dog meat in 1kg bags and leave them inside the house freezer. She never knew. And the best part? He was renting and the real estate and property owners were doing 3 monthly inspections. I shit you not he would leave the fans cranking and the real estate would be right in front of it with the thing in FULL flower. And till this day he still has the old fridge but currently not using it. As his got his own place up north and grows in 2m long cupboards in the shed. His got two 2m cupboards. There is two recirc plants in each. He has 2000watts crammed into each cupboard (not pulling your leg). 250mm extraction fans. Pulls 80oz each cupboard. Every single grow with 5 weeks veg to fill them out under a scrog screen with topping and bending and training.. But harvested at different times to cut down time .We have the same strain. .... yep you read that right 80 ounces per cupboard. 4 plants to keep under the limit for NSW. And always seeds. Even with the fridge. From seed will always yield more. This fella always taught me. More lumens in a smaller space that seems crazy is better. Ive always believed that and his results for cramming light like that in spaces of tiny sizes is phenomenal hence pulling ridicilous numbers out of a fridge of such size. Anyway. For anyone that wants to stealthy. You can do it. Even with the noise. No one will blink twice. Im currently building a fridge of my own. Its a double doored old kelvinator. Nearly a metre wide 0.9m. And 0.7m in depth. Peace. Smoky.
  10. But as far as mollasses doing anything in a pure hydro flood and drain setup I dont know. How can it breakdown and acitivate and thrive within the roots lingering? As my table only gets wet for 15mins and there is no breaking down of enzymes and shit on the roots. You get me?
  11. Apparantly supa stiky is an additiive that increases resin production and smell and overall final end quality of end product. It works well imho. But been using it for a while it would be nice to get something else. I recently added a homemade nutrient bottleshopped nutrient from a store in SA. The locals guys make the stuff down there and it smells really sugary and its dark coloured. Also it obviously has triacontonl in it aswell and ive been told that. I guess ozitonic would be much a muchness with been the similar product. Ive been using this blackstrap/tricontonol mix in my resovoir for two weeks. Now... my ec levels are at 2.2ec . Im midway week 3 flower. On my 6 week strain. Im about to give one day dose of PK 13/14 on around saturday... Im going to run this mollasses stuff to the end and add my supastiky in the last two weeks and ill be done. Ill be interested to see if their is any difference with smell . Theres no frothing and dirty black stuff living in the resovoir which i was originally scared about. I flood my table for 15mins every hour. No problems.
  12. Mateys fridge. This is quite an old photo... The fan is extracting from the top near the wing and globe. Ducting and fan runs behind it into a carbon filter. Bigger the fridge the better. You can get some horses out there and they would be perfect to chuck in the garage...
  13. Hi guys. Im about to setup a fridge for one or two plants. Pretty much have a real old fridge here. Im gutting the back of it out... motor etc. Ill be planning to run a 600w globe In there with a medium adjustawing. Ill have two plants on a small two pot tray. Top fed recirculating. Pots will be filled with hydroton clay balls. Im aiming for a 3 week veg from clone and going to fill out a little sog screen. Id say fridge is about 0.8m x 0.6m. Freezer as at the bottom It will have one shelf supporting the two pots. Underneath is a 30l resovoir. Plan to cool it with two 6inch blue phresh hyperfans. Intake and outtake. And have two 4inch pc fans blowing the canopy inside. One 4inch small cfm fan will be directly blowing onto the bulb. The ballasts will be mounted to the back.of the fridge. So will be the powerboard. Quite stealthy . With the fans inside I should be able to replicate an old fridge in a garage for 2 plants with the sound wise when I have rental inspections.. With the right strain filling out this space I dont see how an elbow possibly more would not be achievable in this setup. Cheers Smoky!!!
  14. setup is (2)600w over a 3x3 table or 1200w/ 9 sq.ft. = 133 watts per sq.ft. or 19,556 lumens/sq.ft. with this setup I can easily pull 3-3.25lbs from 9-16 plants on the 3x3.This is my all time favorite setup for yield, density, finish time, potency all that good stuff. Dual bulb hood used in a 3x3 Hydrohut tent. #2 (1) 1000w over a 3x3 table or 1000w/ 9 sq.ft. = 111 watts per sq.ft. or 16,111 lumens per sq.ft. perfect for single bulb single hood setup and or in a tent. #3 (3) 1000w over (2) 3x6 tables or 3000w / 32 sq.ft. = 83 watts per sq.ft. or 13,594 lumens per sq.ft.. This setup is on movers and does alright but could use another 1k to really kickit into gear, but overall decent. #4 (1) 1000w over a 4x4 table or 1000w / 16 sq.ft. = 63 watts per sq.ft. or 9063 lumens per sq.ft. To me this setup is right at the edge of what you need to really kick it out like on a 3x3. I really like the 3x3 tables instead of the 4x4 all the way around. #5 (2) 1000w over (2)3x6 and (2)3x3 or 2000w per 54 sq.ft. = 37 watts per sq.ft. or 5370 lumens per sq.ft.. This sucks bigtime, movers almost make it more painful because of the shadow dancin..lack of cash has dictated this setup but still it sucks. #6 (3) 1000w over a 11x14 room on movers or 3000w / 154 sq.ft. or 19 watts per sq.ft. or 2825 lumens per sq.ft. this is at a buddy of mines and he is complaining about yield, density, and finish times. this setup is doin just well enough to piss you off, not really crawlin but not cruizin either. I am tryin to get 6-8k in there for he real kickin flower action. So I was curious what everybody else was doin and experiencin.. The sun is roughly 100w per sq.ft. full tilt so that is my basic minimum benchmark for my indoor satisfaction.. Mo lumens, mo wattage, mo betta..
