  1. @ITG thank you for not giving up on the thread, and good luck with the baking soda Keep us posted with how it all goes. One of my girls (gelato) is still yellowing from the bottom up. I checked the moisture and it was off the scale too wet. I always check in a few spots with the probe to make sure and she hadn’t been watered for a day and a half. The Cinderella99 is doing better and she had a normal reading on the meter. Both the girls are now indoors with a few weeks to go. With the more constant environment, it might be easier to keep check on moisture. Sent from my iPad using OZ Stoners
  2. Agreed Itchy mate, with that many changes in variables its probably a combination of all. I'm guessing I still have at least 2 weeks more for the Cinderella99 & 3 or so for the Gelato, hopefully the weather holds out for a decent finish or I might have to get them indoors.
  3. Getting fairly decent weather and temps for this time of year so I'm giving each plant 500ml day at the moment to correct pH. I mentioned the ratio to help others.
  4. Watered in 1 tsp baking soda to 1l water each day for 3 days. I checked the ph before each watering and it has increased to around 5-6. Plants are looking happier with the yellowing of the leaves slowing right down. I’ll pick up some lime next time I’m at Bunnings. ✌️ Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
  5. Just checked soil ph with one of those cheap meters from Bunnings and it’s coming up quite acidic. This may be the reason it’s showing symptoms of a nitrogen deficiency as nitrogen is not available with a low soil ph. A bit of research found that the fastest way to raise ph and still fairly gentle is baking soda so I’ll give that a go. Sent from my iPad using OZ Stoners
  6. Thanks for the detailed answer Micmac, I did use a new bag of soil that didn’t seem as airy as previous bags. It doesn’t drain as well as I’m used to so you could be onto something there. The buds are chunking nicely but they only get 4 or 5 hours of proper sun in the afternoons. This may be causing them to end quickly? Guess I’ll just see how she goes this coming week. 7. Bullshit. I've been involved in forums of various interests for over 20 years. The majority do offer advice, support and even friendship. Don't go making excuses for the knuckle-dragging, chest-beating monkey culture on here. Its just pathetic.
  8. @Raniformis and @micmac thanks for trashing a legitimate thread. I post stuff on this forum with the hope of some decent feedback from members who have more experience. Newbies and even more experienced growers would be interested in reading and perhaps contributing. This post is included in world wide search results by the title of the thread and here we are with 2 Aussie blokes dick-swinging and carrying on like Fuckn kids in the schoolyard. Let’s get back on track and be decent people who just love to grow the plant. ✌️✌️[emoji271][emoji123][emoji109] Sent from my iPad using OZ Stoners
  9. Thanks Try, things are a bit different outdoors, it’s been a while. Season here is cooling down and the ladies look like they are on limited time. Stacking fast before the weather turns to shit. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
  10. Got back from weekend away, leaves are still fading from the bottom up. Buds are still cranking. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
  11. Checked the moisture level and it’s within range if not a little too wet. Watered in some Aminogro so I’ll wait and see if this slows down the fade. Also didn’t mention that the 2 plants are different. The one pictured is a Cinderella99 and the other which is exhibiting the same fade is a Gelato. According to the breeder, the Gelato goes an extra 10 or so days flowering after the Cinderella is done Sent from my iPad using OZ Stoners
  12. Thanks for the detailed answer Itchy, very good point regarding watering. I've got one of those moisture meters so I'll check it tonight. I might pick up a bottle of the Aminogro on the way home too. I think they are in 5 gal pots so pretty small. The fact thay it's fading so early in flower had me worried, hence this post.
  13. Thanks Bayside, I had a feeling it was just fade but it's always good to get a second opinion mate.
  14. 2 plants, outdoor grow in fabric pots. Easy As water only soil. Lower leaves yellowing / turning almost white. 4 weeks into flowering. Top of plants look healthy and buds stacking. Thinking nitrogen deficiency as they have had a lot of heavy rain the last few months that may have leached the soil. I've chucked some worm castings & Rooster Booster on the surface of the soil and watered in but doesnt seem to be slowing down the fade. Any suggestions welcomed.
  15. I have the same problem with my basil plants outside. Got them in a mini greenhouse from Aldi. Bloody slug?? attack would leave big holes overnight. Ended up putting them in a big flexitub. No damage for a few days now. Starting them inside is a good idea. Apparently they don’t like to be transplanted tho. Any stress seems to fuck them right up. The sunniest months here would be Feb, March & even a bit of April. Sent from my iPad using OZ Stoners
