  1. Agree - maybe we could have an 'I grew up in the 1950s to 1980s' group? I'm open to passing down 'how to grow', or just 'how to' to the yungers
  2. Kudos to you, for a long life and the wisdom you have. I'm not quite your vintage but hoping to get there in 25 odd years. Having a knee replacement sorta freaks me out as I'm on a waiting list myself for same.. Good you can get quality bud, it's so hard for most hence the reason for the thread. I primarily grow for my wife, she has a laundry list of problems..
  3. It is true - all the pot in Melb is grown like that, I couldn't believe how bad it was. Some great genetics, just ruined with PGRS and anything else they can get their mits on...
  4. Merl1n Unfortunately, u are right - AMA is as corrupt as any similar group who don't want to give up their power. They have massive influence but are set with an archaic viewpoint. Guess we still need to wait for the next generation.
  5. Thnx - it took..a lot...taking on some responsibility was what helped me turn the corner. As for doctors, agree, they have their uses, I still see a doctor every 3 months as part of my 'recovery'. However, and Ill use my doctor as an example, they almost fear MM, my doctor is just totally against it - he used to be a police surgeon(actually met him when I was doing fine time in the cells, 30 years ago) is the exact type Merl1n describes, he loves pharma reps and when I had my court problem(Commerciable ammout cultivation, not intentional, they just grew huge)he made me jump through hoops I didn't need to jump through. Guess I'm not the most objective but I feel I have good reason where the medical profession goes - my mother has a stroke, they wanted me to pull the plug, I refused, she recovered and lived another3 years here with us. Like what you're saying regards the factors for gene 'problems' - staying positive, good air(as in low pollution), food that is grown, all so important. I've been a gardener/grower for 40 of my 50 plus years and the changes I've seen just in the soil and sun strength is scarey if real. I only say that because I have a bias for the environment, had a creek in my backyard as a kid till they fked it up. Growing/gardening, creating life so to speak...can't be beaten for mine...
  6. Similar here, except for the opiates(illegal) - 30 year slave, not anymore..I agree with Merl1n approved, we all really have no choice/s. Been doing indoor(similar reasons to you) where I am since 2003, except for a year not long ago when I had my own court problem. It IS the only way!!!! As for the medical community - self interest seems their only motto, have no time for GPs opinions or well intentioned inexperienced pen pushers. My wife has severe medical issues and has been fucked around since it started. I don't think I'm very objective there, plus I'm sure you know how it works so I'll say no more.
  7. Yep, it does come across as a scam - I know of a certain person/company located on the Central Coast, he charges $100 a ml, am sure u know who I'm talking about. Regards growing, unfortunately people will use anything to shave time off or increase their grams per metre. My sympathies go to your daughter, she shouldn't have to suffer because people want to make a buck...
  8. As far as from a legally obtained or obtainable standpoint, you are correct, there is no MM available in Victoria, where I live - the sanctions for being caught cultivating can be huge as well. This is all politics and no heart, cant really add more to what u have said..
  9. ..old thread I know - getting oil in Aus isn't hard, it just costs a ridiculous amount. I bought 5mls, it was delivered, no problem and was extremely nice, YMMV. As for MM, my court pressure is over, long time now, so the grow room has been back in action - Strawberry cough ATM, along with some Critical/OG clones..
  10. I'm over 50...shhh. Point is, we used to have less weed but it was good, when I lived in Adelaide, early 90s, exceptional weed. Now it's like these new 'growers' just don't care...
  11. Agree, luckily, am self sufficient again. Just wondering why the compassion club model isn't active here..or is it?
  12. As someone who was recently tasked with obtaining Medical, or at least close to MGM, it has become increasingly obvious there is little available beyond overpriced cannabis oil. The cash before quality mindset of current local growers has lead to a situation where trust and confidence are totally absent. Obscure, unnecessary 'strains' are being touted, yet the product is all so similar in its low quality. Where are the crystals? At any one time, there are a few hundred sellers on Craig's List, trying to flog their bush weed. Is this happening elsewhere in Aussie? Curious to know..
