That may be the problem, undiluted HCI is very strong and contains Chloride(chlorine and plants are bad juju) ontop of that, too strong an acid dose(ie not diluted enough) can precipitate nutrient salts out of the water leading to nutrient lock-out(possibly the case here) H3PO4(phosphoric acid) is the best to use as it has very little to no ill effects on plants and is what's used in hydroponic PH solutions. If you can get it undiluted(%85+) it would be cheaper in the long run as you can make many batches with it.(never use any acid undiluted or diluted less than 1:2) Dilute at a 1:6-1:8 acid to RO/Distilled water, keep it stored in a cool place out of direct light in a black bottle if you have one. 1L will last some time. Remember to add you nutrients to your res first as they will bring the PH down some, then wait a few minutes before you test and PH down. Most nutes will bring your PH down by 1 or so, my tap water is 7.5-8 and after adding nutes my res is 6.2-6.5, then I use about 1ml of PH down(premixed hydroponic stuff, it's about 15% H3PO4) to get to 5.6-5.8 All good mate, hope the girls bounce back nicely[emoji106]
