  1. Turning purple from the cold weather
  2. Don't take this personally but if that were the case there would be a huge outcry about showers being a hidden killer and how we all need to have cold bathes to avoid inhaling steam. Obviously our lungs don't like water above a certain threshold as we tend to drown when push comes to shove but I feel as though a shower constantly spewing out steam for many minutes on end would be far worse for a person than hitting a bong loaded up with ice that needs to melt before becoming a vapor that can be inhaled. Not only that but if water vapor entering the lungs is such a big issue that the colder the water is the healthier you consumption would be in general making adding ice to the bong a harm minimization technique more so than one that makes things worse.
  3. I'd never recommend an auto flowering strain for the simple reason that it's impossible to keep a mother plant. If on the off chance you want to make some seed though autos aren't a terrible way to go, they'll just flower whenever giving little to no fucks about outside influences that aren't directly involved in their development like the ph of the soil they're grown in. As for photoperiod plants if you match the ph of the soil, hours of light inside to what is available outside, etc. the plants will suffer little to no shock whatsoever. They'll just keep growing until they're told by nature to start flowering. The trick for converting plants from inside to outside life though is increasing the intensity of the lighting while matching the hours given to them. If it's 14/10 outside reduce the plants to 15/9 from the standard 18/6 for a couple of weeks and let them just touch the light bleaching area of height so when you put them out the intensity of the light and hours it provides makes the plant go meh instead of having a total freak out. Obviously some plants will cope better than others but personally i think if you can provide a harsh environment and transfer the plants to a friendlier one their chances of survival are higher and you'll stand a better chance of pulling a decent crop than you would going from a friendly to a harsh one.
  4. insultated ducting on ebay.....honestly not your best option considering the paper trail but an option nonetheless... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-150mm-Flexible-insulated-Fan-Duct-Ducting-Flexible-Ventilation-duct-6M-/271533712817?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3f38aba5b1 As for brands of fan I won't bother getting into that. Go into your local hydro shop and ask for a demonstration with and without a duct silencer. All of them will be different from the rest so just go by what sounds best for you and rest assured that your fan was bought locally and can be replaced instantly compared to the week plus turn around on ebay at best
  5. personally I'd recommend running the ph a bit higher in the future as it looks like the plants are sucking nutrients out of the shade leaves to make up for deficiencies but as for the current plants I'd give them a couple more weeks depending on the weather and pull them. You're not likely to reap the benefits of running the ph a bit higher but the difference in the quality of the buds you produce will be night and day with a bit of added maturity
  6. 4x PC fans must sound like a remote controlled jet taking off Invest in a single exhaust fan that will draw in enough air to negate the need for an inlet fan and then have a standard oscilating fan blowing over the plants. Also invest in some insulated ducting and a silencer if sound in an issue, both make a well good difference
