  1. Come to think of it smackies and speed freaks have their own walking styles as well, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear coke heads do as well. Too old for the modern music scene, but I'd imagine your ekky users move their own way?
  2. Can't comment on fabric pots as I've never used them, but am quite happy with rocket pots. However, if I was living where fungus gnats were a problem I would definitely not use them. As for potting up in fabric, dunno, but if you use plain old plastic pots for your seedlings and only pot up from them into the final fabric pot it shouldn't be an issue, and multiple pot ups are pretty much unnecessary and best avoided so that could be the simple approach.
  3. I'd sorta be thinking the soil as well, but if you have major pest problems outside there's a good chance of them getting in your indoor grow as well if you aren't extremely careful, so might be worth having a good look over your plant with a magnifying glass, including under the leaves, just to make sure that's not the problem. Good thing about indoors is a controlled environment and isolation from pests, bad thing is it provides a perfect environment for pests with no natural predators etc to slow them down if they get in, so they become a major infestation very quickly.
  4. Let it dry out between watering, not to the point the plant droops then dies, but so the pot loses a lot of its weight to indicate it's dryish right through. Get a better soil or potting mix, I use Searles Premium Potting mix when I need to, but amend it with good quality coco and perlite, though it could be used straight if needed. Whether you change it now, or wait until it's time to pot up and just bung it into something better then, is up to you. I'd probably leave it go for a week and them pot them up, but if you want to change now just gently wash off what soil you can easily and re pot. Hydrate your new soil before putting it in the pot, and squeeze out excess water as you put it into the pot so they don't bog down again.
  5. Most likely a combo of shitty potting mix and overwatering. Lost count of how many times new members have posted pics looking like that with wet bark filled potting mix.
  6. If you're planning 2lb from that, you might need to put some thought into it. For a start the size of your grow space and lighting will need to be adequate, but let's assume it is. How big is the res on that? Reason I ask is that my usual recirc hydro grows yield up around 2.5lb, and I can tell you from multiple experiences that growing over the cooler months and finishing around this time of year, I go through 15-20 litres per day, so you might want to factor that in to your plans, along with the fact that consumption will be higher as temps rise from now on in. 1/2 a lb per plant is no problem to achieve, and a longer veg with pruning and training can get you where you want to be, but you still need to base it on a system that can sustain it. Pot size could also be a barrier to your plans, sure the roots may be able to grow down into your res, but then you have to constantly monitor to keep the roots out of your pump and plumbing. Not putting shit on you, or trying to discourage you, just making sure you are aware of potential problems.
  7. Good to know, but I was already taking their feeding chart with a massive dose of salt Can't help thinking a lot of experimenting with ratios of the 3 part at different stages of growth would be necessary for great results,
  8. Yep, what he said. Have a look at your current system and how all the parts of it work etc, and also have a look at other hydro setups people use and try and understand how all the parts of them work. Then have a look at your grow room, requirements, and restrictions, and plan out a system that works for you. If you can buy something pre fab that suits, great, if not, save yourself some money and build one to suit. Bunnings sell stuff like pond pumps, poly tube and fiitings etc, but they don't sell outlet/inlet fittings so I get them from hydro shops. They used to sell Tuffman storage tubs which are made of plastic that doesn't go brittle and crack when drilled etc, but stopped stocking them, so if you want to use tubs be sure to find some with that thicker more flexible black plastic. Pet shops are a good place to get water heaters, and some aquarium pumps are also good for hydro. Plenty of options out there, you just need to figure out how you want to grow and what setup will facilitate that first.
  9. I've been looking at the PH Perfect Grow Micro Bloom 3 part, but haven't used it yet. Also keen to know of anyone's experience with it for non coco hydroponics. I'll be having a look online to try find a couple of grows to see if it looks good, or if all the marketing hype put out by the manufacturer is just hype, but I'm in no rush as it will be too hot to run hydro where I am until April/May next year. I think they also do PH Perfect for coco and organic, but I have a good stash of H&G Coco nutes to get through before considering that, shit's too expensive to waste. I've been happy with H&G for several years now, and don't have any problems monitoring and maintaining PH, but also would like to try something different and used to use a 3 part nute many years ago before knowing about monitoring PH and EC, and it worked very well.
  10. Is that all? Our last one went non stop for 2 months +, not normal but seems to be becoming normal. If you've got them in the ground and keep enough water up to them they do just fine during heat waves, just preferable that you don't get one while they are fully into flower.
  11. It's hard without knowing the genetic background. If it's pure sativa (doesn't quite look like one though) then a week of PK now would be a good idea, if it's a hybrid, probably not. Your call really, but if she isn't full on sati PK will push maturation out another week or 3.
  12. Might be a little late for PK 13/14, you can still do it but it will probably push maturation out further.
  13. I agree with them, nowhere near close to finished, I'd be thinking at least another 4-6 weeks if they were mine, wouldn't even think about checking trichs for another 4 weeks let alone start flushing. Sad news about the other plant.
  14. Between this and the Girl Scout Crack grow off we should get to see a bit of variation in grow styles, skills etc over the next 9 months or so. You would have to have separate indoor and outdoor comparisons, and would also need to leave flowering time open so growers can all mature to the point they want. I didn't get invited to the party , upside is nobody will get to see just how bad I am at growing Best of luck to all, this should be interesting.
  15. Not a problem, done it plenty of times. I have simply put them in a garbage bag for the drive to try contain some smell, and opened up the bag once in the bush and let them fend for themselves in the backpack for the trek, but that's only with ones bigger than those. They sustain the odd broken branch etc, but bounce back fine. When small enough though, I'll shove an empty pot over the top of the plant and duct tape the pots together to protect the plant, and chuck em in the backpack.
