  1. got no money and no weed, but i do have the leafy males I chopped down a while back.....nope, can't bring myself to smoking them yet. That could change soon though :(
  2. no offence heathen, but you have smoked yourself retarded. provided the grower flushes the plants before harvesting, hydroponically grown cannabis better represents the actual tastes and smells of strains as there is nothing like soil to impart its own tastes and odours. I will agree that growing hydroponically is a massive waste of resources, but the growers shouldn't be looked down on by bush growers for wanting to protect their investment and their freedom. Unlike in Nimbin, if we city folk chain ourselves to the copper chopper to prevent them from searching for crops we will get one or all of the following: tazed, pepper sprayed, bashed, arrested, backgrounds looked into, homes searched, assets taken, etc. and even if we won for the day they'd simply send in more choppers and then wait us out. The point I'm trying to make is that its the laws and theives that force us indoors and it would be more than fair to say that if they weren't an issue 99.9999% of all growers would be doing it in their backyards instead of in national parks and that would keep the hardcore hippies as happy as pigs in shit. oh and good on you for carrying on about how we can't live without 240 volts and all our consumer products via an online forum
  3. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this grow in action
  4. I also use rice and metho, but when that isn't enough to get the really stubborn stuff I try and get as much water out of the bong as possible and put a bit of ph down in there. It will stink your house out something fierce, but ph down will break down most organic matter extremely quickly leaving you with a bong that looks brand new. It'll still stink like a rotting corpse until you run something else through it, but it'll be all sparkly and clean looking
  5. I would advise against putting plastic on top of your plants as the light will bounce off and be mega obvious to any pigs in the sky There probably isn't a whole lot you can do, but provided the soil they're growing in has good drainage the day of heavy rain shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you can and check on them the following day to make sure
  6. I believe that law was introduced to ensure that the police could charge drug dealers with selling amphetamines if they were packaging up stuff like caffine and claiming it as speed. I personally think its a bullshit law though as there is nothing to stop a pig from claiming you said you were growing weed in your back yard, arresting you and then presenting an actual weed to the court and saying to the judge it might not be actual cannabis, but as it was said to be weed that makes it a counterfeit controlled substance. I really doubt it could ever come to that and even if it did chances are a judge would throw the case out, but if a pig is out to get you that would be a good way to mess your life up and cost you a few dollars in the process
  7. metho and rice works great, but sometimes it doesn't get everything. If that happens to me I get the bong fairly dry and then put a bit of ph down in there. The acid eats away at all the gunk and smells rotten byond belief, but it really works wonders for those tough to reach areas As for moving your bongs, I recently moved interstate and packed them up in a box with the rest of my gear that went on the truck. I emptied a bean bag worth of styrofoam balls into the box and filled all my bongs before putting them in there. I had glass bongs, ceramic bongs, a metal bong, all my spare parts, etc. all in the same box and everything arrived perfectly. I will be honest though, opening the box sucked as those balls went flying
  8. unfortunately its impossible to know what you are smoking unless you grow your own on the plus side of things though growing you own is very easy, very cheap and the buds always end up much better than anything you'll be able to buy. sure it might cost a bit to get setup initially, but you'll get that back on your first crop and from then on once everything like electricity, nutrients, etc. have been factored in it will cost you like $20 per ounce to grow. if you get really good at growing that figure can get lower and if you do get some monster plants going outdoors it can be more like $20 a pound buying weed, especially if you use it as a medicine, is a crime for a reason
  9. how are the plants being grown? what are they being fed and how often? are the plants rootbound? the optimal pH level is 5.8 from what I have read for both vege and flower. I don't really think it would make much of a difference for you being so close at 5.5, but it would help a little keeping it at 5.8 do you have any full plant pics?
  10. my guess is that the nutrients you are using don't have everything your plants need or your pH is slightly off causing a nutrient lockout. If I were you I would take a trip into bunnings and have a look at liquid ph testers. I picked one up ages ago for $3 and it was as accurate as the one I'm using now which is dedicated for hydroponics. Once you can test your ph levels you'll be able to determine the cause of your issues
  11. there are way too many variables with the environment and genetics to give you a proper answer without more details, eg. how many hours of direct sunlight are they getting, wether the plants are in the ground or in pots, how much water they recieve, what nutrients they are being fed, the strains you are growing, etc. Basically the more info you can give the better the answers will be and some pics wouldn't hurt either
  12. can't help you with the vapourite, but i have a vaporstar and its wicked. you might have some issues getting the heat just right, but once you're in tune with it the vaporstar is very effective and easy to use
  13. where I live we get 4 seasons before lunch sure has to beat having no rain though.
  14. looks like you're right. I looked on wikipedia ages back and it said it was legal to consume but not possess Australia wide, but that has since changed Oh and pigs do go on youtube looking for crimes. Heaps of people acting like idiots and doing burn outs, speeding, etc. get nabbed all the time due to the videos they upload
