  1. A 5kw Split System air conditioner dehumidifies maximum 20 litres of water a day. That isn't much.
  2. Umm... Running A/C you want to have a sealed or atleast semi-sealed environment. And if running sealed, dehumidifiers are a MUST in addition to an A/C. Plants perspire 99% of the water you feed them.
  3. I havnt used a 550 yet but that will be my next buy. I've got a mix of lights, HPS, MH, CMH that I'm still using. Ideally want to get rid of all the HPS to be a bit more energy efficient.
  4. I can't answer this technically because I don't know but I know the bar style LEDs (fluence, pro grow) you hang alot closer than the quantum board style, but you will get alot less penetration with the bar style. They are made more for limited height applications and racking systems. More the commercial growers I think. HLG are bringing out a bar style light soon but only because the market demands it, they will tell you themselves that quantum boards work better. I've always been a HID fan and the HLG650R is the first LED grow light I've owned, and I can't fault it so far. Buds are chunky and frosty underneath it, good penetration and good spread. For the price though it will be a long time before I convert all my lights and you would bloody expect them to work for almost 2 grand a piece.
  5. I've got a HLG 650. Great light.
  6. Polaroids good enough. Only benefit of grow glasses over them is they make the plants look natural colour.
  7. Unless you are running a sealed, air conditioned grow, don't even bother with CO2. You are wasting your time.
  8. Have used it, no better than other flowering additives. All much of a muchness. Liquid Lead, Heavyweight or Extra Yields usually my go-tos.. only 1 at a time of course.
  9. I'm running a Lucius Recom 630w Ballast to a Lucius Splitter (about $100) then to 2 seperate shades running 315w globes. Went with the Hellion Adjust-A-Wing 315w globes that use the same socket as regular HPS / MH globes. You can also use the splitter to split 800w ballast to 2x 400w globes, or 1000w ballast to 2x 600w globes. Looked around for a bit and this seemed the easiest option.
  10. Yes there is a chance it could catch fire, avoid the cheap plug in fan speed controllers for this reason. I have a 150mm Whisper Silencer fan, yeah its quiet but its shit, pushes fuck all air compared to a normal 150mm centri.
  11. Haha im pretty much doing the same thing at the moment. Ive also got 2 Can-O-Worms worm farms but going to get a couple more going. From what I can gather there are 4 main composting worms that we use in Australia. Red wigglers, Blue somethings and I think 2 different types of Tigers. The main worm people use in farms are red wigglers and that is what you buy in Bunnings etc. The best food to feed your worms is just a mixed diet of fruit and vegetable scraps I believe and they also love the trim from plants. Also add egg shells to balance the pH, or they sell some additive thing at Bunnings for worm farms and compost heaps. You can make some cool worm farms out of foam eskys, wheelie bins, old fridges or bathtubs and probably a million other things. I want to set up a couple of large worm farms and have all 4 types in them.
  12. Using firefox, followed them. Nope.
