  1. Hey Clever monkey, You don't need to have an Adelaide Dr to get MC. I'm in SA. My canna Dr is in Qld and everything is done online. My present chemist is in Vic, prior to Covid my chemists have been in NSW and QLD. The Dr sends me an e-script and for my medication, this pharmacy in Vic has the best prices/service atm. I simply send them the e-script and Auspost delivers it to my door. Even with the postage, it's cheaper than I was able to find in SA (admittedly I haven't done a cost comparison recently, 12-18mths ago last compared), but the service I've received from my present has been very good, so I'll stay ere 😁 It's the approvals, both TGA and ODC that are a bit of a piss around (and costly), especially if your GP won't support (You need a referral for the canna dr I use) but once you get it all ironed out, it doesn't run too badly. It ain't cheap, but the medication is quality IMHO
  2. A few moons ago I was lucky enough to score me a free trip to the UK, via a UK TV show. Whilst there the wife and I popped over to 'Dam and Paris, so I don't need to worry about banks. I don't use them.
  3. I haven't used Mediseed myself but it seems there's been lots of disgruntled growers, not happy with Mediseed.
  4. Hey Biggy, There are categories, 1 to 5, they start you off on a category 1, this is often a digestible oil and over time your category increases. I'm now category 5 and it seems, at this point anyway, if you've got the cash you can fill the script. For me to fill all of my scripts presently I'd be looking at around $4k.
  5. Yes you can show pics At the bottom of the page on the right is a 'Show More Options' Tab. Click it It will open a larger text box, below the text Box is an Attach Files symbol, below that is a 'Choose File' click it. This will allow you to choose which files/pics you want to post, just follow the prompts
  6. Hey there Nitram, Long time, no see. Good to see you're still around
  7. One strain at a time.... Drip feed...Good plan. An issue with drippers I'll make you aware of is blockages. With hydro you're using high salt nutrients, those salts can build up and cause blockages, so be aware of that with drippers. "The other space is the roof cavity itself..." Okay, just remember the heat in the roof cavity. You've gotta manage that heat. I'm in a shed and in the summer, that heat, it's a pain in the arse, so much so I only grow in the autumn now. Pulling air from the roof cavity is not a good idea, the air will be super hot. Blowing that air at your plant will evaporate the leaf fluid real quick and you'll end up with crunch leaves. The freshest, coolest air is from down low to the ground, for this reason your intake should be down low. You plant will excrete hot used air and hot air rises, so you want your exhaust up high. Now I put my intake on one side of my space, down low and my exhaust on the opposite side, up high. This way the airflow has to pass thru the plant canopy to get from down low to up high.
  8. Okay, so for a starter, what size is your grow space? That'll help establish what lighting you'll need and how many plants you could grow (HINT: More plants does NOT mean more bud. I grow 1 plant in a 3m x 3m room and spread her out like a starfish. Like this 7 - My 1 plant SCROG - Galleries - Cannabis Community (ozstoners.com) My advice, start small and learn. I've known of people who have visions of becoming dope czars, growing pounds. They spend BIG $$$$ buying equipment, only to find they don't have the skills. No 2 systems nor environments are exactly the same, so you need to learn your system, learn your environment. There are people who make out they know it all. I call bullshit. I know my grows and I know my setup, but I do not know everything. There will always need to be adjustments for your needs. When I started I copied a mate's setup exactly, I couldn't get his quantity but then he couldn't get my quality, it really can be a balancing act sometimes. Are you going to use a wardrobe/cupboard or are you going to use a tent or are you going to build a growroom? You NEED darkness. TOTAL darkness. A pin hole of light can mess with the plants cycle Ventilation is VERY important, you NEED airflow. How are you planning your ventilation? You state '...continuous flooding with nutrients...' but unless you've got a refrigeration unit (More costs and more headfucks) 'continuous flooding' is not a good idea, it'll encourage root rot. You have 2 types of roots. Air roots and fluid roots and you need to supply both, 'continuous flooding' will drown your air roots and continuous air will dry the roots out too much. You need a balance. Growing mixed strains is asking for trouble. Differing strains grow at differing rates, flower at differing rates and can grow in totally differing manners. I say this because I did it, once. I grew 2 strains, one boomed early and over took the grow space. The slower growing was the better smoke but it had nowhere to grow into as there was no space, so it was dwarfed by the other plant. Don't get me wrong the other smoke was nice, it just the dwarf was better. That's why I grow one strain at a time. You're growing in a confined space, the less growth management the better. Make a plan, draw up a mudmap of your space, access for air, light and water. Work it all out before you start. Remember the "P's" Proper Preparartion Prevents Piss poor Performance As I say there will always be 'tweaks' and improvements you can make along the way but if you start with a plan you can make things much easier for yourself.
  9. Ohh hell yea, the prices could drop some more for a starter or even better, be under PBS.
  10. “The good GP never stops learning” Ahh, yes, but a great GP already thinks he knows everything (according to them anyway) "So why is there less then 3% prescribing cannabis" Because 97% of them follow the old AMA view "Cannabis has no medical nor therapeutic benefits" When I started this process trying to find an 'Authorised Prescriber' and an 'Authorised Pharmacy' in my state was like finding rocking horse shit. I found one chemist, 150km away. The processes have since been refined somewhat since then, but it's still an expensive, convoluted process. My canna dr is in Qld, all of my consults have been done online. The product gets Express posted to me from Qld.
  11. It would help if the photo was in focus. If it's mites, check the underside of the leaves for tiny, little black spots (mites). They like to hide in the more temperate zones, so spray both sides of the leaf See how the go with the eco oil
  12. FLUSH, FLUSH and FLUSH!!!!. Do not forget to flush her first, BEFORE you chop. It removes any leftover salt build up and improves the final smoke enormously. I use a pH adjusted tap water to flush. It has enough salts in it to sustain plant health but enough open ions to remove the salts. With one grow I used rainwater for flushing but saw a marked decline in plant health, so I only use tap water now for flushing. I do an initial flush for a couple of hours, biff that and replenish with pH adjusted tap water and start again, leave it flushing for 12hrs. Biff that and start again. I keep repeating until the EC coming out equals the EC going in With each flush I block the drain and flood the pots to dissolve any hidden salts as well. Merl1n
  13. "I've just bought a house (yeeewwww)..." Good for you. With the cost of rents at the moment, a mortgage often works out cheaper. An issue with ownership is that you have the property maintenance costs to cover, a cost factor that some forget to account for. AND insurances, make sure you are insured. With floods in places that have never flooded before and fires in places '...that'll never burn...' cover your arse. Also, with the world economy being a mess ATM, cover your income too. As I've said to others 'Tomorrow you could walk out your front door and get hit by a bus... ...Now what?' Having no income and a mortgage to maintain can be a scary place to be. I say all of this because a few years ago we had massive fires rip through our area (We were OK (thanks to insurances), but many neighbours lost everything). And then there was my health which took a sudden nosedive and it was deemed I could no longer work. Had I not been insured I would have lost it all. So cover your arse. "From first impressions, not much of a fan of autos either." Some people swear by them, and that's OK. You give them a go and make your own assessment from there. For me, I like to be in control of the plant. Auto's take that control away from me. Nahh, not what I want. Merl1n
  14. I like some of the theory, but it doesn't give much detail ie temps, times etc Temps are important because the hotter you get it the more breakdown of cannabinoids occurs, so the lesser temps the better But timings are important too. I burn off my chlorophyll (the green stuff) in the sun. But the UV also affects the cannabinoids, so timings are paramount. The stuff I make sets solid like toffee, I have to set the jar on a warmer to get a spot or heat up a wire to swipe thru it, but as an under tongue lozenge... ...yea, that could work. Might try that Merl1n
