whats wrong with my plants

ok i just got done cutting off all of the dead or near dead leafs on my plants about 1 or 2 per plant

all the same thing

now my biggest plant caroline has the same problem leafs turning yellow then dying starting on the bottom what nuits should

i add i gave them a nice dose of fresh water today with a teaspoon of hormex to help promote growth of roots for the most part

i didnt get the lights today for those of you that are kinda keeping up with my grow warehouse as closed going back on monday

does anyone know what nuit im missing and y my plants are dying on me

i though it was over watering then i though it was a N deficency

but i dont think its that anymore im gong to go to the hydro shop tommarow and pick up a couple things if anyone can sugggest something that would be nice thanks in advance

YOU NEED VENTILATION! The plants are likely starving for CO2, which is a primary necessity for plant life.

 

Almost every hydroponic nutrient is capable of providing everything your plants will need, but you can only get good growth if the majors are in line with good practice. AIR, WATER, MEDIA, LIGHT, NUTRIENTS, TEMP and HUMIDITY.

hey fsagert...... are your plants in small pots? because with my last plant the bottom leaves were turning yellow, brown and eventually dropping off andit was because they were root bound. This is just when the roots of the plant outgrow the pot. But then again it could be CO2 like Luke said.

 

I don't think a nute deficiency affects the bottom leaves of a plant, it is usually the tips that go first.......i would've thought the same with a lack of CO2, but then again, i've never had that problem.

one of them was out growing its pot but i replanted them all in bigger "pots" actually storage containers with holes drilled in the bottom but a N defficeny starts with the bottom leafs and causes uniform discoloration which is exactly what i have and to tom a couple of things one thank you for htat article the other day i live in indiana and its shit what our congressmen are doing so im putting a stop to it i informed the department of environmental protection and gave a copy to my mom who works at the biggest paper in the state and shes going to show it around to a couple people i also sent a copy to a couple of high pwered democratic atternies that i knwo and i have also put a blow up copy on my wall so everyone that walking my room has no choice but to see it and also

i disasmbled my fan and am going to be instaling it under my bed later today maby i am supposed to be takeing a trip to go get m lights but im $20 short i broke down and bought a sack last night for me and my girlfriend and our friend

 

charlie and the chocolate factory sux J. depp was the only thing good about the movie i have never seen him in that type of role b4 so it was amusing but there were onyl 7 ood parts and they were single lines by him i would have walked out repeatdly if my gf hadnt stopped me

 

i also just read a thread about hids how far away should they be i know the hand test but i was kinda looking for something more precise but i one cant be found i will doit te old fashoned way they are normally the best

ok after repoting adding some eatherworm castings to the soil some hormex to the water i have descided htat i am going to go and get some superthrive for my plants

 

they are still turnig yellow on the bottm and my biggest plant is taking hit its starting to look bad checked the ph 6-6.4 on all of them

 

i dont know what i can do about ventilation there is a fan blowing on them 24/7 right over the tops of them to keep the canopy cool but i know its not eneogh im installing my other fan today

 

and my lights arent all they were cracked up to be basically i just bought the transformer and i have to add a capacitor and a couple other things for them but in total is going to cost me about $35 for each of my 400 watt lights so m not bitching at all does any one know where to get bulbs cheap but new online besides ebay

 

so once again what should i do do you guys think the superthrive will do it

No additive, particularly not one like that, will replace nutrients which are missing, or acheive good results in bad conditions.

 

Cheaper is not a good idea too, spend some money now, and you'll thank yourself later, I assure you. Cheap globes will be just that, and lamps lose a lot of strength if second hand.

ok heres my points to make and problems

 

1 $$$ i need a 100 just to go the lights put together the $26 was just the transformer but i can have them put together for a extra 15 bucks each for parts 10 for labor not bad but im broke

 

2 bulbs about $50-$100 each i need 4x400 and a 1000 watt light and i dont have a job ebay is the only way this is going to work unless i go with number 7 which im contimplating

 

3 question would it help if i threw a ac unit under my bed or in my closet for my grow???i knw they have an exhaust what if i attached a duct and a inline fan to it would that work???

 

4 would a ac make it so could drop my lights lower then normal??? with out the risk of burning my plants

 

5 how humid is it supposed to be for my plants just got a humidifyer???and dont have any clue what to do with it i just know that $7 at walmart wasnt a bad price and i ouldneed one sooner or later

 

6 my plan is to buy 1 light at a time when i can afford it and each time just put another ballast in my closet can anyone see a down side of this i will have 1 light going for 13 small plants and then hopefully a week after that i can get my next one and so on and so on???

 

7 should i just pack all of my shit away giv my plants to friends and try again when i have everything set up or should i just continue with this and learn some shit and do better next time ???
