Bong modification

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

At the start of the year i brought my first pyrex bong... (much nicer than an old ceramic i had) it was the cheapest pyrex i could find at the head shop. It's nice and all but it uses the smallest slip in cone availible so after months of having to have to keep packing many tiny cones to get off i brought a large cone like the one pictured here at this link http://www.fantasyworld.com.au/parts9.htm (its 7 down called Large Bonza cone) As you guys know, slip in cones have a screw on piece thats attached to the stem that the cone sits in... well my problem is the large cone i brought doesnt fit in the stem with or without the attachmenty thing lol. I was just wondering if you guys could suggest any ideas to what i could use to make a mod to it to allow the use of this cone piece (me been to cheap to go out and buy a large slip in cone been the main problem) Just wanna hear your opinions.

Cheers,

Luke

Well in addition to here on OSA as well as in real life, it seems I have had several people ask me about getting either a simple glass cone and stem to replace their metal one or getting a phat custom one that has a big bowl to hold a good amount and has some nice colours and a cool look to it.

So since I am doing market research to figure out what people would be interested in purchasing in glass, I guess I am curious to know how many people would be intersted in getting a glass cone/stem piece ? Especially if they could get it from me, blown here in Australia and not have to order overseas and pay shipping and such.

I can make pretty much anything you see on this page, although I dont know how to do some of the techniques of colours and patterns yet, but I still can make some cool looking patterns and other stuff from what I do know.

I plan on making some various cone/stem pieces and will post pics and see what people think. I just need to find out what the standard diameter for a stem is, can anyone with calipers measure thiers, it would be most appreciated.

thanks...
