Problems!

Recommended Posts

Hiyas first id like to say great forums and lots of advice and good reading here B) thank you admins

there seems to be some problems can anyone work out what this problem may be ?

strain is apparently Great White Shark Grown in Hot CoCo & Clayballs

dutch master nutes at 5.8 ph

things were fine then they were first transplanted for a few days then it started to creep in over a few days

its been this way since about 5 days after being put in

they are still growing slowly but the curl cannot be cured after 4 weeks :D

leafs also under the plant at the bottom are curling also :D

but some of the other fan leaves are fairly ok with only a little twist on the ends it seems to affect any new growth the most

cant be heat as the room was only getting to 20deg and light was moved a fair distance away but humidity was about 80%

3days ago moore lights were added and now hunidity is sitting about 58% & 26 deg

pots have been flushed with PH adjusted water & tried half strength nutes for a while and then full but with no liuck

they might start to snap back to normal with less humidity and moore heat now but maybe its some other problem ?

any help appreciated thanks

thanks for a quick reply Ferengi420

iv read through that and various other defficiancy guides for about 2 weeks now

i thought it was magnesium def and tried epsom salts but that did not work

20 deg with light far away from plants so no burn cant be to hot can it ?

im thinking a high humidity of 80% was doing it kinda like the plant being to damp in the air

and they are getting at least 1 litre of solution a day maybe thats not enuff ?

fresh air should be fine as well .. im still scratching head on this one ;(

3 days ago moore lights were added and a better outlet fan which got the humidity down to 58% and heat upto 26deg

and they have got no worse yet

here is another pic from another plant

hi tom the temp at the top of the plant is 32 deg and humidity 48%

and yes there has always been a oscillating fan going for air movement in the room

ventilation is a hole in the hollow bickwork at the bottom which draws in alot of cold air which is about 12 deg comming in and the outlet fan is a very high output 6 inch fan which cost about 130$ at the time

also using the DM Hot CoCO nutes A&B Veg

looks like cabbage B)

are u using any additives like super thrive?

heat could be a factor since it has raised so much...

when did u notice the leaves going like that? did you change anything before it happened?

it looks like your pH is all good + you have flushed them good, has me majorly stumpted....

maybe the plants dont like being grown indoors? a few strains are like that, ducksfoot doesnt flower that great indoors but outdoors, it goes off its nut :scratchin

seems like everything is spot on but im of no help as i have no idea what the problem is :thumbdown

all i can think of is wind burn.is the oscillating fan blowing on the plants or is it blowing between the light and the plants.if its blowing on the plants i have to think this is the prob.even though some recommend it dont blow directly on the plants cause if heats high or humidity is off you will do more harm then good.you want fan to move the hot air from the light with out touching plants air moves around them aswell.

hi wantdachronic .

not using any super thrive just DM a/b veg

its a new room so 1st grow there and it started to happen like 4 days after putting them in there for the 1st time B) which was about 4 weeks ago.

also i know someone with the axact same strain and they are fine indoors

indooraussie the oscillating fan is blowing between the light and the plants.

only 2 things i can think of was the watertank which was a black plastic 200 ltr

which also gave off a distinct odor ... maby releasing chemicals into the water or air it stinks quiet bad which is now out of the room completly and no longer used as of yesterday.

and the other was the brickwork was painted in Thompson Water Seal as the brickwork was getting very damp from the outside about 2 months ago which i think contains white spirit and you could not go in the room for weeks .. maby thats doing some harm but you cannot smell it at all anymoore hmmm i cant think of anything els

its so frustrating these past 4 weeks but im shure it will work out eventually

well if i have soil plants under my light, the lower leaves look like they need some N...if i put the same plants under my friends light, they are fine...mind you temps stay the same and we are both using 400watt son-t agro bulbs to grow...the only difference is his grow area is twice the size and he is using a china man shade, mines a lowbay....i think thats what they call bad room syndrome, but the funny thing is, with hydro everything is fine B)

Looks like a desease to me, maybe viral.

http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&-...co+mosaic+virus

hope i'm wrong, cause of not, there is nothing you can do.

either that, or too much ferts combined with noth enough H2O and a lots of heat.

that virus does look simular but i dont think its what he has, thats not to say he doesnt have another virus or some other type of infection :thumbdown i hope thats not the case as well as there is absolutely nothing you can do other than pretty much starting over from scratch :thumbdown

i would say because it started 4 days after they went in there, its got to be the room some how...if i had to bet on what the problem was, i would bet that its a multitude of problems, heat, stress, lack of ventilation, etc. all i can really suggest is putting them outside for a few days and see if they recover any...if they do, i think you'll need to reconsider the area in which you are growing indoors and find out what the problem is....

just remember that we are merely trying to imitate outdoors, if the grow area seems like a harsh environment in comparison, it probably is :thumbdown
