Police vow more 'Viking' operations ahead

Recommended Posts

The head of a police operation targeting anti-social behaviour in parts of New South Wales has warned there will be more large-scale operations similiar to one conducted on the weekend.

More than 800 people were arrested in Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle over three days as part of what is known as Operation Vikings.

Police say several people were also charged after raids on properties in Sydney's south-west in which 10 kilograms of dried cannabis and nearly 500 plants were seized.

Vikings commander Superintendent Greg Rolfe says even though the size of the operation varies each weekend, another major one is planned.

"Vikings runs at different times throughout the year like large-scale operations like we had on the weekend, but I can tell you that every weekend there will be a level of vikings operations running whether it be an additional four or ten police working in the local areas command," Superintendent Rolfe said.

They use that as the excuse. They are looking for terrorists and have some half baked idea, that they get their funds from growing and selling weed.

Are these idiots that fucked in the head.

The Queensland and New South Wales Police combined cross-border Vikings Operation was hailed a success achieving significant results at the weekend.

"It is pleasing to see the strong co-operation between the Queensland and New South Wales states, particularly the partnership of police resources, tactics and strategies which will be re-established again for use in future on-going operations," said Assistant Commissioner Melville.

Far-out its a crime to be anti-social now !!! :reallyexcited:

It's the cops that were being anti-social, it also shows that stoners are not in any way a minority group, bet the politicians don't start quoting the statistics shown there when arguing against legalisation. :B): :D
29 people charged with drink driving
Some good did come out of the situation then, 29 potential multiple killers and maimers taken from behind the wheel of their weapons, wonder how many of them will learn from it though? :scratchin
