Police net $1.25m worth of cannabis

Recommended Posts

New South Wales police have discovered cannabis with an estimated street value of $1.25 million at a house at Albion Park Rail, south of Wollongong.

Police say they were called to the house on the Princes Highway about 9:45pm (AEST) after reports of a fire.

They say the fire was put out and about 500 cannabis plants were found throughout the house in a hydroponic set-up.

Police say the fire is believed to have originated from an electricity meterbox which had been illegally modified.
