Cannabis crop found in forest

Recommended Posts

CANNABIS worth a potential $715,000 has been discovered growing in a New South Wales forest near Canberra.

Drug police, detectives and the PolAir helicopter searched the Bondo State Forest, near Brindabella, yesterday after receiving a tip-off.

A well-established crop was discovered, and police seized 359 plants, ranging in height from 30cm to 183cm.

The plants had an estimated street value of $715,000, police said.

The plants were airlifted from the site to be destroyed, and a number of items were also seized for forensic testing.

No arrests have been made.

it does sound like alot of pot was taken and considering the police think it was worth more than $700k it is an extreme amount of pot to lose out on....but in the grand scope of things, that crop was a fart in the breeze and should not push prices up at all although a few scummy cunt dealers might use it as an excuse to drop the size of the deals :thumbdown

a dealer i used to know said to me that because a major crop was found the price has gone up, i laughed and asked how can a crop that hasnt even been harvested yet have anything to do with the deal im buying now? i was told i could take it or leave it and i chose to remove his number from my dealer list :)

a total of 359 plants was found, ranging in size from 30cm - 183cm....compared to the 130,000+ plant crops grown in the blue mountains and for that matter, pretty much every major mountain range in australia, that crop truely is nothing for the police be to proud about :)
