Hey, long time smoker, First Time Grower..

Hey, awesome site.. :smoke

 

I am picking up a couple clones from a close friend, I've smoked for a long time, but never grown hydro before, at all...

 

To be honest, I seriously don't wanna shit the whole lot up, so.. any help would be great, fertilisers, chemicals, etc..

 

I was thinking of putting them in a closet (not all together, maybe 1 or 2) ... with 500watt lights (dunno which ones) for 2 lights.

 

What do you guys think?

probably do better with a 400 watt hps and as for your nutrients well that all depends on your medium and growing method but i would suggest canna nutrients as i have only heard positive feedback + they actually test their nutrients on cannabis :smoke

put them in soil first up till ya get the hang of things ? just a thought :scratchin

The only 500w HID's I know of are halogens which are totally useless for growing under as they produce the wrong light spectrums, check out some of the links in my signature for more information.

Hey, thanks for the help guys.. I got the clones, in "perlite" .. in a ice cream container.. I went to a hydro store and bought a "Clone Box" it's a plastic box, with air holes, in the top and bottom..

 

I was told, to put the light above them, 3pm to 9am...

 

I seen the Chemicals, but I don't recall the name....

 

The problem was, I put the light to close to the clones, and the leaves got a bit burnt, so I moved em back..

 

Hopefully it wont kill them
