:thumbsup No, small, cheap microscopes aren't all that powerful. Anything not over 100x should be alright. Thing is you'll have to snip a tiny chunk of plant matter off to place on the tray every time you want to examine it and you'll need 100 times the light. It's probably better though, as it'll be perfectly still on that tray and with the proper lighting will reveal a lot.

 

I notice there's a cheap 60x to 100x magnifier set going on eBay right now, from Hong Kong for $15 including postage which could be ideal.

thanks pauul that sounds like a great one for a cheap price. i think ill get that!

 

also, based on the above chart - is it better to harvest when there coudy or orange??? which would be quicket and would yield be any different? i normally wait until the pistils are 75% brown. which used to take only 42 - 44 days with the strain i had
