Britain to rethink Cannabis policy...

:) Former Home Secretary David Blunkett defended the declassification last year, saying it would give police more time to tackle dealers and prosecute cases involving more serious drugs such as cocaine, ecstasy and heroin.

Don't worry about us here in the UK. All this debate is simply a way of the Labour Party putting the drug debate back for a few months until after the general election. Rather than wait for criticism they have asked the 'Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs' (the group that recommended re-classification originally) to report on the effects of two recent research documents. Both research groups have indicated that dealing with cannabis through legalisation would be a better way forward.

Don't expect any change, or even real consideration of change.

Regards

Eddie
