well today is the day boys and girls, Schapelle Corby has to produce everything she can today to aid in her defence as its the last day the indonesians are giving her

 

the department of foriegn affairs commented and said that the inmate in a victorian prison is being assisted in every way possible to get over there and help with the case, 5 seconds later, the reporter covering the story said that they are waiting for the indonesians to request that he comes over like thats ever going to happen they are trying to make an example out of her, so much so that there are signs around the bali air ports saying "death to drug traffickers"...

 

it makes me sick to think that our government is treating her like this because they are afraid of the countries relationship to indonesia...hell they are a 3rd world country and rely on us to survive if we boycotted indonesian holidays and anything coming out of the country, their economy would crumble and they would call upon us for help....thats something both governments should consider for a bit, better yet what about the 5 billion howard promised? release Corby or we take back with interest is 1 person really worth 5 billion dollars? IMO no, and i think that the indonesians will see past their hatred of mj for a price too

John Patrick Ford has arrived in Bali today to help with Corby's case...

 

John Ford is the victorian prisoner who claims to have over heard fellow prisoners talking about a botched plan to smuggle mj from brisbane to sydney and has gone to tell his story to the indonesian courts. The Australians federal police has said on national TV that his story is here say upon here say and that his testimony will not help and if anything will damage her case Then the government has the hide to say that indonesia has done everything for Corby and that its her lawyers that have caused all of her problems, eg. getting Ford to Bali but only requesting his release to Bali the day before the last chance he would have to testify...

 

In the same story, well a continuation of aussies getting screwed over in indonesia, Our government has gone all apeshit over indonesian officials holding 5 big wig company exuctives because their company has polluted a local fishing area.... Basically the australian government has demanded their release AND has threatned to mess with the nations economy if they dont comply... I believe the words used were along the lines of "indonesia NEEDs other countries for their economies infrastructure and treating australians like the way they are is no way to try and get another country to invest in their economy" in english its more like "either let them go or we'll fuck with you so hard we'll send the country broke"....

 

the reason for this madness? the australian government considers company presidents and other high level business people more important and said something along them lines on the news i wish i had a tv next to me so i could type the whole lot and not go by my pot head memory but thats what i got from watching sky news about 30 mins ago

 

im not happy at all with whats going on with our government, first they dont help corby (who is innocent) but they help 5 guys who polluted a fishing ground for a community (and are guilty)....then because of the mass amount of money the government has made from taxing us with the gst, instead of giving the average person a break, costello decides big business deserves the tax cuts im seriously leaving australia after the next election to determine our next PM if either Johnny fuckwit Howard, Costello or any party they have been apart of gets into power...if the greens were to get balance of power and were able to make sensible changes, then i would consider staying but im leaving this shit hole nation before our government makes it even worse :thumbdown
