hello oZ. I was wondering how far away i should put the ballast from my plants. I have a 400w hps and dont wanna fry my plants.............yet anyways!!!!!!!

Hi Tonik,

 

When you say "ballast" do you mean the actual LAMP part of the light or the ballast itself?

 

The ballast should be kept ouside the grow-area if possible, to minimize risk of electrical fires. If you're unable to keep it ouside the area, hang it or put it on a shelf up away from the plants and any water-source.

 

The Lamp itself can be hung about 1-2 feet from the plants dependant on how old they are.
