First grow and very confused about soil and nutes

Recommended Posts

A final flush is when you get the nutrients out tof the plant and it lasts about two weeks , however depeeding on your feeding levels you should be doing a pm flush every forghtnight , this clears the salts out of the medium and levels out the ph if there is any fluctuation

as for the cabinet

If it was me I would wash the walls down with a hot water/ bleach solution, and repaint the inside flat white or line with panda film

that is somethign I do every 3 or 4 grows to my whole room with the excetion of relinign the room , after each grow though I wash everythign with anti bactiria stuff and run a home made sterolising solution through the pipes to clean it out , peroxide or bleach work well for this

cleanlyness is next to godlyness :D

Bleach (@ 10% in water) sprayed all through the room, either paint with flat white paint or line the walls with pandafilm/astrofoil/mylar for reflectivity. These should then also be cleaned with bleach, and the room left to dry/evaporate a few days.

You may need to use something like "nilodor" to really get rid of nasty smells, but ideally, it should just be a good cleaning away.

Oh yeah, make sure you don't get a cabinet made from chipboard or MDF, this can be very structurally unstable in a humid, possibly wet (from spillage) environment, not to mention there is a potential for mould should moisture penetrate the fibers/chipboard. So yeah, make sure it's either plywood/plankwood, or something else entirely.

Hope that helps.
