Polycarbonate for cool tube?

Recommended Posts

I'm researching materials to build a cool tube for my 600W HPS.

I've found what appears to be the perfect material to base it on but am not sure how it will effect the light spectrum.

I was at bunnings the other day and found what I think is polycarbonate sheet by Laserlite but thin and flexible, its on a roll and they cut it off by the meter. It looks completely transparent and would be perfect to build the cool tube out of but I think it has a 99% UV rating so I'm not sure if its going to filter out the lights plantly goodness?

Does anybody know anything about how this material would effect the HPS light spectrum for growing under if I were to use it?

Cheers...
