Dutch pet shops have been warned to be on the lookout

after the theft of a number of South American giant

cane toads ( Bufo marinus ) The toads, measuring up to

30cm long, excrete a milky white liquid from behind

their bulging eyes which, when licked, causes

hallucinations described as 12 times stronger than LSD.

The effects can last for up to seven hours.

 

Police in the city of Leeuwarden, capital of the province of

Friesland, are hunting drug addicts who raided a shop specialising

in toads and reptiles, and stole three of its South American cane

toads. According to local media reports, addicts have been queueing

up to lick the toads' backs in several hostels for drug-abuse

victims.

Richard Mastenbroek, a pet shop owner, said: "I really fear for the

toads' welfare; the addicts who have taken them to lick their backs

for a high would have no idea of how to care for them.

When I was working up far north tropics of Queensland on the Banana plantations, there was THOUSANDS of cane toads all over the place, and it was part of the job that where ever I go, my boss told me that I must sod on them, kill them, anywhere I go on the boss's banana farm. The boss will kick you out of the farm if you refused to kill these cane toads.

 

Often we had european backpackers working on the farm, it was funny to see their faces when I squashed them that their guts and eyes pops out of their mouths, and they looked at me in a real state of shock with even more shocked face expressions, and I am laughing my arse off like a insane manic, they moan, what...what... why did you did that?? They cute! I am like heheh, I saw other one in corner of my eye and squash other one, and replied... "they are fucking pests, that aren't Aussie natives, they were brought over to Australia to battle some insect problem on Sugar Cane feilds, that went terribaly wrong and they now have spreaded from QLD to NT and NSW, they orginially from South America."

 

I even sometimes thro Cane toads at these newbies who just doing their first day working at the farm, and they get all scray-cats over toadies while they think they are "cute", fucking crazy backpackers!

 

And we often had a lot of fired backpackers on the farm because they couldn't handle killing these cane toads.

 

I kind of liked playing with them, sometimes we have silly competitions in our hour lunch break to see how far we can throw these massive cane toads, sometimes, we played cricket or golf with these toadies, I have a lot of funny crazy memeories with these toadies, the face expression from the european backpackers was a classic, wished I took a photo of their faces heheheh...

 

What you do is if you can find the fattest cane toad you can, is just squeeze their heads, just behind their eyes, around where the brain is, just squeeze them, but not kill them, and you will see gooey whitish, yellowish, creamish slime coming out from their glands, thats the part you lick and you will be tripping big time.

 

I haven't tried it, I am not that desprate, but there was one story, possiblity a myth in Innisfail that a British backpacker licked TWO cane toads's worth of that white shit, and he ended up in the hospital for 2 days after he tried to swim in the local waterhole where it's notrious for the salties croc's, as he thought they were mermaids or doplhins.. heheh crazy pommie... heheheh.

F..ing unreal hey! CUTE shit - no wonder tourists just love our koala's. My mum is a north QLder and she swears by "Dettol" on the back of toads to kill them. Fuck - I tried this once - I don't recommend it - a lot easier with your method Urban. If I find a cane toad I give the "old cane toad golf club" to my son (I can't stand looking at them let alone touching them) and he has found heaps of enjoyment just like you Urban Have to amuse ourselves somehow.

 

As far as LICKING them - I had an episode with Datura a couple of times and I have a feeling it would be along the same sort of "TRIP' . It's not a trip I would advise anyone to have. Dangerous shit and not that good anyway.

 

I tried tripping back in the days of Blue moonies and microdots (and of course the magic mushies) and loved it (never had a bad trip just enjoyed them to much) but the most hallucinagenic trip was on car sickness tabs Avil or something like that - I think they have changed the recipe since back then so don't try this now anyone.

 

Friend and I took a packet each - 10 (shit - don't know how I lived to bloody 41). If I did that now I think I would probably blow my brains out from the inside. But talk about a trip - my eyes were hanging out my head for 2 days after it but lasted the whole day of just full on trip. We spent the day in her bed, weren't capable of anything else. Shit there was a hell of party going on in our heads though.

Knew someone that got into these, back in the 80's, seriously stuffed him, and he still suffers from paranoia, violent mood swings and such. He had been a decent sort prior to getting on them, he did get into them fairly heavily though.

Yeah, you gotta becareful to not overdose them, 'cos you can get burred/fuzzy eyesights lasting for a day or two. Heard some stories that "experiments" went wrong, in some ethno forums.

Exactly Urban - your eyes after Avil feel like when you have had an eye test and those eye drops the optom uses to open your pupils really wide (and you can't see really well) except its lasts for a couple of days - really spun out feeling during that time.

- tboat - have no idea as I have never even contemplated the thought - but you could just try banging your head on a brick wall a few times for 'almost' the same affect. And I really think (and hope)aussies have had the same education about cane toads as me. The toxin has the reputation of killing a few dogs.

Thats about the only instructions I have ever heard of above and should be enough. Let us know how it goes.

 

As far as junkies licking cane toads - is there a shortage of heroin or syringes or something or are they just prettier cane toads over there.
