4 1/2 LB PER PLANT

Recommended Posts

4th February 2005

ABC Gold Coast Radio interviewed a lower level government minister who is

demanding that NSW/Queensland marijuana laws be changed so that they are

consistent and relevant to each other, because, as the law stands today, you

can, in NSW have your one or two plants and not be too worried, whereas in

Queensland they, in theory will lock you up and throw away the key for the

smallest amount. He went on to say that " the average marijuana plant can be

harvested 4 times a year, yielding approximately 2kg per harvest, which is 8kg a year, enough to bring serious consequences in Queensland, but not much of a problem in NSW".

Is he serious? I would like one of his plants that yield 4.5 lb per plant!!

How can they ever expect anyone to take them the slightest bit serious when

they start quoting shit like that!

GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

Granted there probably is some super plant out there that might do that but he said 'average' and harvested 4 times a year means not much veg, so NO! it is a load of scare tactic crap once again. :)

Your not allowed to grow 2 plants in n.s.w

Of course when attending court, things like first offence are taken into consideration, and is unlikely a jail sentence occurs. Still you will be arrested and charged with cultivation of 2 plants here.

plants can produce over 5 pounds a plant the biggest ive seen indoors was only 3.5 tho using vertical lighting kbs system.

Id love n.s.w to adopt a 2 plant policy, not while bob carr is in power tho he loves his tuff on crime .

That's still far from averadge Tartass. I would be quite happy to get 1/4 pound/plant

You are right but it depends on your growing methods and experience, care love given to them , there are just so many differnt ways to grow pot.

If you were allowed to actually grow 2 plants you wouldnt sog them now would you it would be a waiste. yuo would want them to produce as much as possible.

With the kbs or freedom bucket method as i know it by, your basically growing trees indoors with only 4 plants your using 5 1000 watt lights.

Wasnt having a go just saying its very possible :)

What Government Minister said this? I keep hearing it over the years and I think we need to follow this one up. Has anyone got any sources on who said it and when, where the original figures come from etc.?

Is it possible? Sounds like it, but it would be an extreme case of commercial growing wouldn't it? It can't be the average, no chance in hell, so we can correct them on this at the very least. But I'd like to find out what conditions these 2kg plants were grown in, whether it was a once in a lifetime find by the Police etc.

If we can get some leads we can use Freedom of Information laws to track down the source of this data and refute it in the media ourselves. From other posts on OS I think we came to the conclusion of about 3-5oz/plant as an average for personal use?

True Pure N.S.W is a bitch, i still think 2 plants producing 7 pounds can be argued more in favour for peronal use with a good lawyer than say 30 plants.

Ok Im sure there are some people from W.A here how would this apply to them

Under the laws introduced last year, people caught with less than 30g of cannabis or with smoking implements can either pay a fine of up to $150 or attend a drug education session.

They also allow households to grow up two cannabis plants without the occupants facing criminal charges, instead providing for them to be fined $200 or sent to education sessions.

ok your not allowed to have more than 30grams yet can grow 2 plants does this mean the plants grown are only allowed to produce 15gms each??.

If you only grew 2 plants yet say you produced 1/2 elbow could you then get in more trouble if caught for having over 30grms??
