Doctor on cannabis cultivation charge

A DOCTOR has been charged with cultivating cannabis after the discovery of a drug crop west of Newcastle, New South Wales.

 

Drug squad detectives and Lower Hunter police raided a property at Salisbury about 5pm (AEDT) yesterday and located an estimated 25,000 cannabis plants, police said.

 

The 49-year-old doctor was charged with cultivating a large commercial quantity of cannabis over the find.

 

He was refused bail and is due to face Maitland Local Court later today.

 

Police were clearing the crop site today and seeking an order to destroy the plants.

I was camping not five minutes walk from that drug bust. Scared the fuck out of me until I realised that my ounce was nothing compared to the shit they were pulling from that house.
