my cutting

the cutting has shown signs of growth since yesterday but today when i checked on the cuttings this 1 had a root coming out the base of the plant where the stem is and then went back down at the corner of the cube

 

never seen anything like that, is it normal or just a freak of nature that im gonna have to keep an eye on as it now has an exposed root system?

Yeah, it can happen, the root would have been just below the surface and as it has thickened up as it has grown and become visible, I would transplant it asap and make sure the roots are well covered by the media, you should try out the Growdan plastic wrapped rockwool cubes too as they hold together quite well.

dont roots aim for gravity and heat? just seems odd that it went up

 

as for transplanting, im going to have to wait atleast a couple of days, more than likely wednesday :thumbdown although i could put coco/perlite in the bottom of the really piss small pots they are now, i would prefer to wait a few days and buy bigger pots and hopefully the roots would be out the bottom of the cubes by then

 

as for the growdan plastic wrapped cubes, they were the ones i originally wanted to get the hydro shop didnt stock them at all i asked about the cubes wrapped in plastic and he looked at me like i was an idiot so i just bought the $5.95 pack of cubes...they had a larger pack that had like 100 cubes but thats way more than i wanted/needed and it was like $25 :thumbdown

 

well as long as my baby is ok, thats all that matters :smoke tell ya what, im just happy i have 1 plant thats alive considering this is my first effort at cloning
