Corby drug trial adjourned

Recommended Posts

ok well its been too long since any1 bothered to put any more info about this case up on the forums since corby was given a life line by mad ron....

over the past month or so, from what i have read in the news, howard gave his views on the case, corby has applied for the security tapes from brisbane (i think) airport and so far has basically been told to mind her own business :thumbdown

howard said that he is aware of her situation but isnt willing to help a drug trafficker but even if she isnt guilty, "his" government doesnt want to be associated with trying to help a person caught with 10 pound of pot entering another country...he believes it would make him and australia in general look like we support drugs :thumbdown

last week, corby's lawyers requested the security tapes from the airport where she departed...this resulted in her being told that the tapes she requested, have been wiped of all recoverable data AND that its common practice for these tapes to be wiped only after a couple of hours :o

goddamn, i swear to god the government is trying to make it harder on her....i can format my hard drive 30 times, 1 after the other and if they were that determined to access any information that has been stored on here, im sure they could get it....now i dont think an international airport would delete the video recordings that quickly...but according to the government they do which brings me to the conclusion that they are either stone walling her case or they are trying to tell terrorists to fly from australia :)

i just relised why howard isnt doing anything...when he tried to keep his job, he said that if terrorists were hiding in indonesia, he would attack without hesitation...well indo kicked up a stink (as u would if a small bald man said he would invade your country :) ) and said u better watch where u tread...well howard relising he said naughty things has decided to try and be at peace with indonesia by letting them decide the fate of corby :thumbdown

if i were PM, i would be all "send her on a private flight home or we'll come and get her...deny us the right to have an australian back on her home land, we'll take her by any means needed, even if that means severing any relations between our countries"....bet she would be back by the end of the week :yingyang

"So obviously, let me make this point perfectly clear, we're happy to help in any way we reasonably can but of course we can't interfere with the court processes in Bali."

Why the fuck NOT, shes innocent and its one of our citizens that is involved here.

Like you said mate.

Some sick fuck that has no remorse for harming and killing people gets 30 months because hes one of there citizens.

One of ours does the right thing, and travels there (Aussies trying to keep Bali alive eg- no tourists = No BALI.

If that bag was carrying drugs then Australian authorites would have found it, AND the matter would have been dealth with by the Australian courts system.

No one in their right fucking mind would take that amount of drugs in to asia. I mean I have NEVER been there and after this bullshit never will go their either.

But I know well enough that its not the done thing.

Plus if she wanted to get a big stash of drugs like that in to asias, then she would have

A/ Locked the bag at least,

b/ would have actually gutted the board and filled it with the weed or something.

definately not siting in a shopping bag just sitting on top of the board.

EG- theres no way that she put it on top of her board and then sent it through customs with no locks, and not hidden.

I mean do balinese think aussies are that fucking stupid.

The australian govt is a pack of weak assholes, maybe someone should challange their rights to protect our country?

they sure as fuck wont stand up for its citizens.

Sorry im raging like a bull, this poor chick and her family did what wrong again?

they went there for a holiday. :o

:o

:bang: :) :) :o :)

Alexander Downer is full of shit.

If the Australian govenrment realy would do anything in their power to help it's citizens you would think they would log any relevant evidence with the thought to having it available upon request before it was destroyed.

Who the fuck are they trying to kid? What is the point of having a security tape if there is no posibility of its later revue. I bet if they wanted the security tape for their own purposes it would magically appear. I could readily accept that the tape would be erased in a matter of hours... as long as it was backed up. Where's the back up?

From the very start evidence has been disapearing, been tampered with or simply compromised. The Australian government has sat on it's hands as the hour grows later and allowed evidence to be destroyed, the Indonesians destroy the evidences integrity so no truth can be gained from it, where will it stop?

I was thinking about an OS trip for the last few years (i have never been), Bali was my first choice for budget reasons. I will never set foot in their dirty, corrupt little contry, not even for a stopover. I have seen the damage that has been caused by the tsunami in indonesia and other countries and i will never give them a cent that is intended for indonesia. I hope their tourist industry goes belly up. The way i see it, if you were to go to Bali now you would be worse than an anti-union scab. :thumbdown

: well said pickle ....... Downer is full of shit , and they got no intention of helping a drug pusher :) peddler , smuggler ::):

oz government may step in if those fuck wits want to execute her ..... bless her soul ...... but thats about it . Drugs ppl ...... get you into a lot of bother , did'nt ya folks tell you that and aint no cunt gonna bail your arse out :bang:

Bali ....... Ubud is cool on Bali so is Padangbai , but Lombok steals the show ...... absolutly friggen great beats Bali hands down .Trouble is you got to get there through Bali , bummer .

personally ppl i think she be fucked , guilty or not she's rooted .

Mrs Everest reckons :o ,

she's guilty ...who is going to look into a bodyboard bag? No lock on the bag, it doesn't look suspicious. It would have gotten through our airports relatively easy, (well with it leaving anyway)...we are a surf/body/boogie boarding nation, after all.

I think she will be looked over by the gov't, for help. The oz gov't will feel they will look better, in the long run to push to appeal the 30 month sentence for Abu Bakar Bashir. The indonesian gov't won't let aussie have it's own way with the 2 issues, they don't like us THAT much.

Remember the old coke bottles...? (black plastic...2ltr bottles), well in the UK anyway. My everest and his mate, weighed them full, put the same amount of Afgani Black into them and fetched them from Calais to Dover, no problems.

It's just a shame she got caught, dare I say 'this time'...it's not the first time she's been to bali after all, she has a sister married to a Balinese fellow....

Do you know how much a bag of hydro will give you on Kuta Beach, Bali? A 50 bag would be good for double dollars, for sure. The attraction of riches must have outweighed the risks for her.

I feel for the girl, but I don't think she's the innocent party. She will probably receive life, serving so much time in a Bali prison and then she will be handed back to aussie to serve the rest of her sentence, where she will be able to appeal the rest of her sentence and will probably be released........something like that. :scratchin

Just my two cents........

I think the girl has been fully set up, no one with even the smallest brain would bother smuggling pot into bali, selling 4kg by $50 bags, would take that much time and risk it would be uterly insane, i know some areas in bush WA where people can make $700 oz out of 50's and sticks, but the bottom line is taking drugs to bali is like smugling ice into iceland.

After initially thinking her guilty, I've come to believe that the weed was put in her bag by a luggage handler at Brisbane airport and was MEANT to have been picked up in Sydney but instead continued on to Bali by mistake. For her sake I actually hope she IS guilty. Imagine paying for someone else's frigging crime in that shithole?...all that time to ponder the injustice...it would have to send you fucking insane. :)
