Fucking police - which they'd fuck off and go arrest people for selling heroin to kiddies not arrest you for something that grows in the ground naturally. OMG tobacco grows and people get addicted and die eventually - i dont see them outlawing it, where weed get u in a high and isnt addictive.

Just a rough bit of math, if all the plants were female (unlikely), if he got half a pound off each plant (highly unlikely), and got $5000/pound (highly unlikely), and if the amounts mentioned there including the 1.5lbs - 2lbs dried came up to 30lbs (53 plants @ 1/2lb each + the dried amount, a generous estimate at best), then that would have been around 150grand. So unless the cash he had lying around came up to another $150,000 i doubt it.

I think the cops might be looking at it as $25 deals, as if any commercial grower would even consider sitting around for weeks packing little baggies or foilies, the poor grower would have just gone through the pain of harvesting and trimming.

Seriously, I wish the magistrates and judges out there would start to question some of these valuations, how about we start analysing a few of these "valuations" the way Pickle did then stick them in an anonymous e-mail to all the courthouses and any where else they may do some good? Maybe we could put a few over real life facts about mj and especially medical mj while we are at it? If we could get them to start making the LEO's prove these farcical valuations and claims of dangers to the community then the cops are going to have to do some actual real work on even the most minor of busts, it may not change the laws but I can see that the LEO's would probably stop looking at us as the easy target and move on to harass something else that people use to deal with pain or even just the stresses of everyday life.

Hope the above makes sense, Chev made some cookies and I went and ate two of them. B)

with a bit of luck the lad will soon be free , and at 22 years old smarter

Hey,

They keep trying to tell the public they are taking down the criminal syndicates when in reality they are only getting the newbies who have reinvested some of the returns.. B) I feel sorry for the kid, he was just trying to get ahead... Some day they will realise the best bet is to regulate it...then tax it....

This just in: Best estimates from expert in his field, Capt. Tim Hettrich of the San Francisco Narcotics Detail.

"Five plants will yield 1 pound of marijuana worth roughly $4,000".

So to revise my earlier figure 53 plants @ 5 plants/lb (lets say 11lbs) + 1.5lbs - 2lbs (lets say 2lbs) @$4000/lb (that's US$ so we could cut the amount by the exchange rate to AUS$, but we wont as AUS$4000/lb seems a reasonable figure) = $52000 (13lbs @ $4000/lb).
