Am i doing this right

Recommended Posts

hey guys , this looks like a cozy lil forum ,

ive got a plant about 30cm , rather sure its sativa and i think its female - because its becoming more and more bushy and branching out from existing branches, ive been spraying water on it 5-7x a day , leaving it in direct sunlight (this is s.e qld we'r talkin) , its around 16 - 20 wks old i think, feeding it apple peels ,grapes, cherries. am i doing anything wrong? havent had many problems with bugs or wildlife and no thieves cuz its in the backyard. ... am i doing anything wrong or right? and any suggestions on how to make it better?

kthxbye.

Putting the fruit and vege scraps on the ground around the plant won't realy help it that much, it will take too long to break down.

Try making a compost bin or worm farm, you will be able to use the results from the compost bin next year and it will be rich and good. If you do decide to do this avoid onion, garlic, spring onions, schallots and things like these as the worms that will be doing all the work for you dont like them. To use the compost, dig a hole and mix the soil and compost together. You can't use it straight cause it will burn the plant. The worm juice should be ready in about a month. But living in SE QLD you don't need too much help soil wise eh? :thumbsup

If you want a bit more of a quick fix for fertilser, try those Powerfeed and Seasol double packs you can buy at the supermarket. Wont hurt you, wont hurt the plant and it will get a nice little boost.

Don't foliar feed that much either, you'll end up leaching the leaves, and when it buds it will mold quickly. If you must, spray once a week, but any more is just over-humidifying and possibly leaching your plants.

Other than that, I wouldn't go throwing fruit around it either, make sure anything is composted thoroughly or use soluble fertilisers. You can get cheap organic based fish emulsions from most garden centers. B)

They do a good job too, a little blood and bone is also fine but don't overdo it, a bit of mulch around the bottom of the plant is good to stop the ground drying out too fast but don't get it around the stem of the plant as it could cause mould there.
