Gee
Hey guys I've done a lot of reading but still unsure which light to choose for my clones.I have a small cupboard which I plan to keep them in while my bigger plants are in flowering in their own tent.I see my local hydro store sells LED lights but they are from about $300 upward. My wife is already on my case about spending too much haha.Could you please recommend a fairly low-cost light that would be good for my clones? midlifegardner
Any cheap LED will be fine. I have 2 x viparspectra 300s. I think each draws 130w from the wall. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
merl1n
For clones I simply use a fluroCheap to buy, cheap to run.Clones need to be nurtured, not beaten into submission. Anything too intense will fry them, hence the fluro.
Gee
Thanks guys, much appreciated. I ended up ordering a Viparspectra 300 so hopefully this will be a good start for my babies
nici
HLG65 would be my pick after my latest efforts. $199 atm for the v2.
Ford Fairlane
A couple of 24w cfls is all you need to strike clones. Once rooted a 130w cfl is ample light to keep them ticking along
Frank Reynolds
I agree with cfl, i have 2 x 18w t5 from bunnings, the cool white versions. perfect for taking cuttings. I also can back up the 130w for veg as I am using one right now working great. although i miss the old 80w phillips bulbs
