Also I have found the trichomes can change in as a little as one week so I check about 3 times a week to monitor progress once I see them start to go cloudy.

I disagree Micmac.

Admittedly, I tend to leave mine much longer than most, usually around the 12-13week of 12/12 or after the 3rd browning of the hairs. In fact, I'll never do an 8-9week flower again.

With each browning the buds swell internally as a new set of hairs develop. This adds to the flavour, bud density and effect IMHO anyway.

I agree,when you already know what it's going to be when it's finished
