inline fan Fantech ProVent - good/ bad ?

Recommended Posts

hey all,

just trying to make sure i dont end up with a fan like the horrid growlush/ grofan.
so in the market for an extraction fan and been weighing up:
-price
-noise
-efficiency ( ec motor is pretty much a must)
-versatility eg. speed control, temp / humidity

so most versatile and quiet on a budget is the 150mm 6" ac infinity cloudline S / T6 with the ability to control speed down to 33cfm back up to 350cfm in 8 speeds, ec motor so max 64watt draw at 350cfm and 32 dBA at 3m.
bout $220 aud posted to aus, as i figure US to aus postage is 50-60 aud price on site is 160aud + wire fan up to aus electrical plug + covid 19 wait on shipping

round all for price, efficiency and quiet is 125mm 5" Fantech ProVent bout 170aud posted best i could find online. aus owned company, ec motor on HI 211cfm at 30watts 37 dba, LO 158cfm 22watts 39dba, the 150mm unit is more efficient than the T6 at full speed as fantech is 50watt at 330cfm 45 dba

most efficient is the PHRESH HYPER ec fan with 315cfm at 35 watts, yet about 65dba so not quiet at all, priced at around $270-300 online in aus

grow space is an in wall closet that i knocked up, dimensions are about 6.2'x2'x2.3' = 28.52 cf3 not including nute res. in the closet i've got a seedling/ light veg chamber about 2'  height while flower chamber is about 4.2 feet for indica/ short only.

might add the other closet next door ( built it as 2 but only using one on the left) as another flower chamber just for sativa's at 6'x2'x2.4' = 28.8 cf3 excluding nute res.

so has anyone heard of Fantech ProVent fan?

for my combined grow space would i only need something like 66-100 cfm thus i'm better off getting the ac infinity as 8 speed settings 33-350cfm ?

On this site you can pick up the 100mm ventair fan for $110 delivered or the 150mm for $150.

specs are in the link.

I use two of the 100mm on my 1.2 X 1.2 tent. They are quiet enough to sleep in the same room and move enough air for my setup
