Looking for a 315w CMH Ballast

Recommended Posts

As the title suggest, i'm looking to buy a 315w CMH Ballast. I have no need for a reflector, yo-yo's or extra's, I intend to using the Philips 315/930 3100k bulb in whatever i settle on.

I guess i'm looking at something mid range. As in no cheap chinese knock off's and i'm not prepared shell out $$$ for overpriced Hi-par crap. What i have found that caught my attention, is the Lumatek Controlable 315w Ballast.

Anyway, looking to have about $500 to go shopping with. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a better option?

Cheers  :peace:

The lumatek 315w dimmer with an adaptor seems to be around $300.

Hi Par runs around $330-350 for dimmer one.

I'm a fan of the adjustawings with the de hellion ballast.

Hydro experts do a bulb and ballast for $440

eBay hydroandhomebrew do the full kit for $450

They seem to do specials,i bought a full kit for $380.

They have a $700 deal on 2x full kits.

Crowd out of SA.

The 315 bulb has an e40 fitting which fits into your existing shade.

3k and 4k available.

The hi Par runs the hottest.

I have a green power mk2 from sunstate hydro driving a Philips for a few runs now.

Their website is not current but a call for a price on ballast only worth it.

Thats the biggest I have seen, the board on that is fully flat so physically bigger and heatsinks on outside.
