Saying that, years ( showing my age, years as in decades) ago, before we had internet and there were no books on the subject, just learn from someone older, we did it only on the hairs, and now I know we harvested way too early, as we did it as soon as they went brown. Now I know that they can have new hairs shoot a nod buds keep growing. So it’s my old loupe ( I used to work in an industry that I used one) and away I go. MUCH better..
