Strange/damaged new growth

Hi guys,

Been lurking for a while, but finally decided to register. My first ever grow over here in oz and all seemed to be going well.

I'm growing 3 photos (from seed) outdoors in raised beds, my plants are about 6 weeks old and 2 of the 3 have just started to show some really funky new growth.

I don't know whether it is some kind of pest or stress from all the rain we have just had (150-200mm in 2 nights).

Any help from you guys would be great.

Surfactant?

Some sort of foliar spray damage by the look. Week or two back.

Check under all the leaves ,,you might find caterpillars.

Legend try blue. I had a few spider mites a couple of weeks back and sprayed the worst affected one approx a week ago with some nature oil stuff. Did wonder if it could be that, must have got some over spray on the second plant. Should they come good with a bit more growth then?

They be right. Might get worse before it gets better. No worries though. Fast growers.

One application of oil is usually not enough to control spider mites.

 

Which products did you use, mix rates for the oil etc?

I sprayed in the late arvo, so it wouldn't get burnt. You reckon residue and the sun the next day cooked it a bit?

Used that on my indoor had no issues aside from the lil pricks didn’t die, ended up having to go get some decent shit from the hydro shop

I have had that issue. I used diatomaceous earth. Pretty much cut down most freaking bugs.

sulfur based miticides work very well outdoors Spray the shit out of ya plants with it but not reccomended if you have temps over 32 forecast

Looks familiar. I use the same brand in the concentrate. Lotsa different factors can cause a burn imo.

Ensuring the plants are well hydrated prior to any foliar spraying is a good one to aim for.

Overcast days is another winner for oils in summer. Here in Qld anyways.
