Anyone tried mega crop for a full flowering cycle( soil medium)?? Npk is 10:7:18. If used throughout flowering is the N ratio a bit heavy to be feeding during late flower period?

Soil in ground is local soil with horse poo and dynamic lifter added 7 months ago. Topped with compost on planting 2 months ago. Soil in pots is one third each of compost, perlite and potting mix (Searles). All plants are nearly 4 months from seed.

Ahh ok, I have seen ya thread, thought it might have been different plants.

I re Jon it would be fine to use, just go easy on the strength till you see how they react, particularly with what you already have in the mix.

Are they looking hungry?

Thanks for reply Billy. Two strains ( in the ground)look like they could use a feed soon. The others all going ok, however they should need something between now and harvest. Mainly interested in using mega crop for plants in the ground, due to plot being over 3000 litres of soil. Currently watering over 1000 litres of water per week, due to extreme heat/drought. Looking for a cost effective nutrient solution for that scale. So I know what to look out for, what are the symptoms of too much nitrogen during late flower?

And Billy - did you find the need to add anything in addition to mega crop during flower - like something with bit more pk ratio?

If they look hungry, they need it now. I can’t help with your situation, but I’ve had no problems with megacrop. It will certainly be cost effective, but what else would you compare it to in ground?

Perhaps a top dress with a heap of castings and good stuff would go the same (ask itchy).. bit probably cost a small fortune.

Buy a 9.9kg bag :)

Maybe u might need to look at water retention as well
Have u got a good cover of mulch
Do you have perlite, vermiculite or similar in soil?
There other water retaining agents out there
Don't forget your plants need just plain water as well, over doing fertiliser in soil can lead to hot mixes which ate virtually impossible to reverse
More is less sometimes
I have mega crop, freebie, is days both organic and hydro but I've never used it as yer

Cheers Billy. My emphasis on cost effective for that scale. Was comparing to bottled stuff, which would cost lots between now and April. I've run out of home made compost - just started building next year's pile. Got bit of eco aminogro ( expensive) left, that I'll feed plants in ground, until I get some mega crop. Was recently using half strength eco aminogro in potted plants.
