Keeping dwc water cool .

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried running the hoses through some like this to keep dwc temps down? I have one of these at work and it will freeze stuff. Has a thermostat to control temps. I was thinking if I removed the door on the top and coiled both the return line and feed line inside the fridgeit should be enough to keep temps down as long as you constantly recirculate.

Can get these cheaper if you look around, or get a different brand. This is just an example

Yeah, I am having good results in coco at the moment, so I think I will persist with that for another couple of grows and try dial it in. My problem seems to be impatience. Thanks for your replies mate. Was just an idea I was chucking around.

I think I needed to pull 10 degrees out before, but I was chucking in 2 or 3 2litre bottles of frozen water every few hours. In a 50 litre container.

Forget about aquarium chillers, too much salt build up

As usual don't scrimp on gear,a good water chiller for 50 litres is around $800

They are made for the job

Personally when I looked at it ,$1200 was looking like the cost

So no DWC or similar in summer, around mid April to early October, then coco

Well that's what I do
