NoTill 1st Grow - Weird Leaf Damage

Recommended Posts

Hey mate. They turned out to be great veg lights! lol

Nearly killed the girl I had in the tent, had the lights too close.

So vegged some clones up in there instead. They went in to the flower room last week and I’ll be adding the led panels in the coming week to supplement the two CMH lights.

Hopefully get the run done before it gets too hot.

Questions ?

what ph is your soil ?

And what ph is the water your watering with ?

Soil ph is 9.0. Supplier is sending some Sulfur & Humic Acid to sort that. Water is 7.1.

coco coir / brick from bunnings

i used it years ago in soil mixes that just did ok

most give brunnings coco a good wash B4 using it , i think there might even

be a thread dedicated to washing bunnings brought coco

i have also seen soil makers mention adding some sulfur

when using coco over peat moss in there soil mixes

the brunnings peat moss is pre moistened & allot more expensive

buying it in a 5lt bag , depending on whether you are into soil mixing

most would buy a 220 liter bale of Canadian peat that needs hydrating

https://www.davespetandgarden.com.au/product/peat-moss-220-litre-bale/

you can also look at Lithuanian peat moss which is a little cheaper but not

as preferred as the Canadian

here are some pros & cons to using peat moss Vs coco coir

Thanks for the comments Itchy, the coir might be the culprit by the looks of it. You wouldn’t expect to have to wash the product before use. Goes to show you can’t take anything for granted.
