get some Quassia Chips from Herbcottage.com.au

 

Steep 100g in 2 litres of water on medium/low heat for an hour, cool and strain. mix at 1 part Quassia solution to 4 parts water and had a few drops of soapnut liquid and spray on plants and surrounding area.

 

Edit - Just read your post after I typed that. Cart some EWC with you then cover that with mulch/leaf litter

Also I have just gotten into Organic Gardening at the house. Look up JADAM organic gardening for making fertiliser for the plants. Might be an option to set up a bucket near your plant and harvest microbes from the soil and let them brew, or do it at home and fill a 15L knapsack up and take it with you

What is EWC? And is this for vegetive growth? High in nitrogen I imagine?

EWC = worm casings. Rich in micro life, enzymes, macro, micro and trace elements. Worm castings are already composted so gentle on plants and immediately available compared to dumping straight manure, guano, blood n bone on them.

Blood and bone or extracts of will attract everything to dig it up.

 

Roos love white clover.

 

Waste of time without a physical barrier.

forgot to mention that Quassia is also good for spider mites prevention

mic, wouldn't you want a carbon based mulch like leaf litter and/or straw for fungal developement? As I have stated, I am new to the organics world and basing that on a post that itchy recommended straw for fungal growth. But that statement if I remember correctly was based on a plant in a pot and in our back yard.

I use Lucerne only and have plenty mushies popping up.

Cheers everyone have been heaps of help had already bought blood meal so would have made that mistake and yes using lucern hay that’s partially buried, so is just work castings enough for vegetive growth?
