Indoors with Reg Beans

Recommended Posts

So you clone just before flower I guess. Then you put it under another light at 18/6 or outside until your 12/12 is complete and then move it 12/12? It's just that I really don't want to veg for let's say 12 weeks.

Ive just started cloning for this exact reason. It’s easy as with a heated humidity dome. 100% so far.

Try and give your clone/s as much light as possible for the first 14 days, helps root develop, then do anything from start flip, put outdoors, i have one outdoors, giving it about 16 hours sun light/supplement lighing atm, to veg outdoors , flower indoors or vice versa, .. now's a good time to take advantage and get a mother outside to take clones off, down the track.

Thanks kloud. If anything, I want them to grow slowly while I wait the 12 weeks or so to finish flowering.

Or build an LED cloning rig for cheap. It will be dimmable and put out heaps more light.

2x https://www.digikey.com.au/product-detail/en/bridgelux/BXEB-L0560Z-50E2000-C-B3/976-1735-ND/7907664 - $7ea

1x https://www.digikey.com.au/products/en?keywords=xlg-150-h-ab - $54 - later one you could re-purpose this and use it for a QB288 or similar

1x https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KRE2U/ - $6

Postage is free over $60aud

You will need to build a frame ~$10 (some L ally from bunnings) and some chain to hang it ~$5

If you want put a 40-80mm fan on it and it will be ice cold, but at low wattages it is not required at all.

For cloning in a dome, normally runs at 8W and this gives 150 PPFD, then up it to 13W for 300 PPFD. Raise the light and increase the wattage light spread for vegging at 400-600 PPFD.

The driver will need to be dialed down to about 39v(max) and dont push more than ~1amp (75% of 1.4amp (the boards max)) per board - which you can do with the AB driver.

If you want to run more than 2x or less than 2x you will need a different driver

Here's a good article to read if you want more info on building your own. The learning curve is a little steep, but if you start with a project like this it will be much easier.
