post-4922-1101686957_thumb.jpgpost-4922-1101686970_thumb.jpgHi, I have this problem with my leaves. The room is and has always been very well ventilated and by looking at them it doesnt seem to me to be any kind of mite or bug. Ive been having murders keeping the PH levels right and over the last week they have been subjected to high levels almost constant could be the cause ? Indoor hydroponics, White Rhino. I hope the pics can help, the green is really more green and the brown isnt so rusty colour on the leaf. Also the the leaf is curly upwards and very brittle and are starting to look like this as soon as the new leaf starts to grow. Edited by ozjim

Ph would be a major factor for sure,

Always keep ph between 5.5 and 6.3 Ideal at 5.8.

Could be maybe heat stress also, eg are the fans blowing the plant around? maybe knock the ventaltion down a touch. too much will cause wind damage and fry the plant out.

Also check to make sure the light isnt too close.

Flush the medium and clean everything, then refil the res with ph adjusted water set at 5.5 approx.

Then refill with 1/2 strenght nutes and make sure you have an air stone in the water.

why?? PH should stay fairly close to what its set at.

Have you been adding anything to alter the ph readings?? eg- ph up or ph down etc?

bad ph levels wont hurt the plant as much as having major fluctuations.

leaves curling up-

Leaf Curling Up - Leaf curling up can be a sign of a Magnesium (Mg) deficiency caused by too low of a pH level. Magnesium deficiency will show as a yellowing (which may turn brown and crispy) and interveinal (in between the veins) yellowing beginning in the older leaves. Interveinal chlorosis (yellowing) will start at the leaf tip and progressing inward between the veins. It could also be a sign of excess heat and humidity in the grow room.

the medium is rockwall cubes, what happend was my NON grower mate droped the ph metre in the tank and no it wasnt water proof so due to lack of funds had to use the ole fish tank drops, i was very busy that week and after showing him how to use it left him for a week. Where he had let the ph rise so much the cubes were saturated with a high level so like suggested i have flushed every cube and done a low nutrigent flush from the tank for two days, tonight hopefully the ph would be stableized. will the leaves come back? or is the damage irreversable? im four weeks in flower now and i know the buds will if not already have suffer from this. i spose thats what comes of leaving a monkey in charge of looking after ur bananas! thanks for the feedback. watch this space :-)
