wrong driver to be running in series. If you want to run in series you need a CC driver. For the CV driver you have you need to run in parallel, but you have to be prepared for thermal run away, its rare to have a thermal run away, but it can happen in parallel wiring

 

Do you think that will affect the efficiency of the panels?  I had tried to copy HLG's set up....

So I attached it to a meter.

 

wired as above, these two boards draw 520W @ 2.25Amps.

 

big power draw for two 120W boards.

 

What meter did you use? cause that HLG-240H-54A driver should only run about 245 watts from the power point, and at 2.25 amps on a 54V CV driver you should be at 121.5 watts

Should of just bought hlg mine went together just as you have drawn and are working like champs. [emoji16]

Just wired the second one exactly the same.

 

1.08 amps and 251 Watts.

Sounds like there is something wrong with the drivers.
