Spotted these little bugs

Recommended Posts

yellow sticky traps , yep

they are one of the 1st places you should look at when you walk in your grow space ,

you don't want to see anything on them but if you do hopefully your finding out as

early as poss , the sticky traps will not control anything , they will help support other

pest management measures as mentioned by micmac

blue https://bugsforbugs.com.au/product/blue-sticky-trap/

both sides are sticky but that doesn't mean you have to peel off both side

in a tent hang it against the wall down low , under the canopy

cut them in half & stake them in the soil , whatever works without causing probs for you

That's an idea, hadn't thought on that, could unroll the fly catcher, and instead of hanging up, arrange around the top of pot, little feckers.

I assume if left they would damage plant.

I know a few have mentioned neem. I'm aware of the gnat lifecycle but I reckon even with just the yellow stickies alone you'll be OK. A neem drench should get rid of them but it's likely that there will still be a couple remaining. I remember I had a really bad infestation on my first grow in potting mix. I just kept on replacing stickies for a couple of weeks and eventually the numbers dropped to only a few.

I cut strips and placed them all over the soil too. Pretty unpractical when watering it seems to go well.
